Can you have XS on an MK9? Seems their site only shows the P380 (unless of course I am looking at it incorrectly.)

According to their catolog they are avaiable for all Kahr models. I just ordered some Thursday and was called today by my gunsmith saying they are in already!

This is from their web sight:

Factory-installed

XS Sights are available as factory–installed original equipment on select firearms from these fine manufacturers:
– DPMS Panther Arms
– Kahr Arms
– North American Arms
– Remington
– Robar
– Ruger
– Smith & Wesson
– Springfield Armory

Hmm...when you go to handgun sights and click on Kahr the only thing that comes up is .380

In their PAPER CATOLOG, under Kahr it says: ALL MODELS under Kahr.

Thanks jeepster. I think you are correct. I searched a few other sights and it appears that they make them for all or most Kahr models. I'm thinking my aging eyes might appreciate them. You have a thought on that?

I love them.....they work well I have them on almost every gun I own, including shotgun.

I'm also a big fan of the XS Sights for apparently the same reason your considering. I have standard dot on a couple and big dots on a couple, either work very well for me.

Jeepster- my life passed before my eyes when I saw that beautiful 329PD. I thought how the heck did I send that back with a big scratch on the back strap, then I realized I never had your gun. What a freaking relief..............
Looks awesome, it really does.

Yes you can. I installed them on my MK9, but since IMO the front sight was too big I removed them and installed Meprolight night sights instead.

Mine currently have the Meps that are fading and I am just trying to determine whether I want to replace them with Meps again or try the XS. I have heard some folks claim that the XS Big Dot can be too big like the poster above found.

the xs sight is a big dot, it is not a target sight, if u want that, get something else. If u want a sight that literally grabs ur eyeb alls when u pull that gun up. the xs big dot is super. It is what it is. Personaly for any kahr I think it is super, I have it on my P380 and PM9 and love them. In a gu fight ur not gonna see nothing but at best tehe front sight . If u try to line up all 3 things, ur probably dead. POA with the xs is deadly at 10 yards and under, no wasted time either.. Just my analysis form owing and shooting the piss out of my PM9 with xs. I would not have anything else for this particular gun. Mind u get out to 15 yards and ur gonna cover alot of target, not a human target but if you shooting at beer cans, it is a different story.

XS makes two different sizes of front sights for the P380.

I am in the same place....
Once I get the p380 broken in these are going on it (and other guns)
pushin the ol time clock here as well and these look like a better alternative for nearing 50 yo eyes than what I have on some others now www.advantagetactical.com

so .. same Q standard or big....

Thinking big for HD/SD and standard for what is 'generally' a range toy

Well, I now know for sure that they make them for MK......

For me I prefer the big dot on small guns that are primarily for CCW with just enough range time to maintain proficiency.
On full size guns which I carry normally as well but are suitable for range practice or just plain messing around I like the standard dot.

So for me all Kahrs with the possible exception of my future T model would get big dots. The T might just get standard dot.

The big plus for me with the XS sights is they show up well during the day as well. Many night sights I've tried show up well in the dark but not worth beans during the day. XS gives me best of both worlds, although I try not to go out at night, too scarey.

jeepster are those the big dot or the small sights on your mk9? I thinking of getting some but think I'm leaning towards the small as i use mine a lot for range practice as well.

Can I ask Jeepster who did the removal of the stock sights?
Also where did you get them.
Can't find them other than at Kahr or XS direct.
CTD has them for P380 cheaper than anyone but doesn't have them for MK9

How do these XS Big Dots work when you're threat focused, lets say 5 yards or so and in? What I'm getting at is that in CQC those of us who can't train like Navy Seals are likely going to be threat focused and point shooting. As the distance increases we'll likely start transitioning to our front site and further out still a sight picture. Does the XS Big Dot sights help in getting hits as we transition from point shooting to classical sight picture?

Thanks...

I had my sights installed at Ahlman's, I also bought them from them. I love the XS Big Dots. They charged me $30 to install. They are the best defense sights made in my opinion, you see the dot fast. They are not a target sight but great for defense range.
