I don't own any AR's and was wondering about getting one of these......any feedback would be appreciated. The idea of using ANY ammo with no jamming sounds appealing.

They seem to be ok from what I read. If you can run an 870, then you can run that. I hear that for some reason the pump guns aren't as accurate as an AR, but are still more than acceptable. Haven't seen any around here to try though. My concern would be getting one of those with a short mag or worse no mag confused with an 870 at an inopportune time, like 2 or 3 in the morning.

I've not played with one first hand either but like the concept. Since it comes with XS Sights I'd call that an omen. I think your meant to have one.

Not my cup of tea. A Rifle that is trying to imitate the look of a shotgun, yuch. Ugly and there are AR's in the market that will out shoot it all day long.

Can't say I've ever seen or heard of one before. Seems like you'd come off target some what racking the next round into the chamber. I like the new heavier barrel 580 series Mini 14's. $529 +tax OTD. The ranch rifle shoots 223 & 5.56 ammo and has never had a problem. Shot 60 rounds rapid fire from three 20 round mags with no issues what so ever. That bugger was more than a little hot though.
The Mini 14's are like the 10/22's plenty of aftermarket parts and accessiories so you can create your own rifle.

I have a mini....was kinda liking the non semi design of the Remington. I would think ammo brands would become irrelavent and worry of jamming would be non-exsistant with pump.

And A nice looking mini it is to. I can't really say that I've had a problem with jamming on mine even with reloads. Like I mentioned mine is one of the newer 580 models just made in 2011. May I think it was.

Does seem like a simplistic design, and I'm sure it operates pretty well. Me personally I think if I was to step away from a semi auto I'd go with a bolt action as I think for the most part there very accurate.
Just my opinion of course and I have been known to be wrong before.;) If you get it let us know how you feel about it when you get to the range.

Well I gave in and it followed me home.....he threw in some spare 20 and 30 round factory mags and a nice canvas case.

I traded even my Glock 30SF. Now ....... scope choices?
I'm thinking the new Nikon AR IVR Scope?

I went with a Trijicicon Acupoint 1-4, [you can still use the XS sights under the scope]. It has become my SHTF gun. The Para sale on mags must of been targeted at me with the $8 30 round spare mags...... :=]

Seems like a good idea to me. With that you can run much lower recoil ammo without worry it wont cycle the action.

It wont be as accurate as an AR because of the action hanging off the barrel but I bet it is plenty accurate enough. I wonder what sort of twist rates are available?

10 twist barrel. What kind of range do you think these will do?

I had a Remington 760 pump in .30-06 that was capable of delivering 5 shot 1.5" groups at 100 yards from a sand bag rest using handloads. I'm not saying that all of them were that good, but mine was.

Hard to beat the Remington 870. Tried and true. I really don't care for all the tactical add ons. You won't see these items on most LE patrol shotguns.

What add on's? A scope? It is a rifle.....
