Except that...

1) Obama specifically noted that he would not be bound by the first item you noted when he signed the bill into law.

and

2) A judge recently ruled that the new multiple rifle reporting requirements from the BATFE was indeed acceptable and threw out a NRA-back lawsuit that would stop this.

None of that matters. It's the process and the end result that's important.There is also the ballot box. In November we also have the opportunity to right the wrong. The system works.
