Greetings fellow Kahrtalkers. Just popping in to say hello from the PNW. Picking up my CM9 tomorrow. After much debating, I'm getting rid of my XD subcompact because I never carry the thing, and love my FDE G19 too much.

Have found some very good posts as I've been lurking for the past couple of weeks.

Welcome bang. I don't know about you but a little soggy feels pretty nice after such a very long dry spell for us.

Heck the moss and mold was starting to go away between my toes and fingers, now that's dry round these parts.

Welcome from SW Washington... I would say Vancouver but people still can't seem to understand there is one of those in the US too.

That's about as south as you can get and not be Oregonian.

Actually I am further North than that but, the whole Battle Ground thing is harder to explain than Vancouver.

OK. What is ConcreteHenge? A concrete copy of Stonehenge?

Lot of Elk down in that area. Hunted it several times in a earlier life.

Welcome from just south of you in Salem. You're going to love the CM9. I just got one in September & followed the prep & lube recommendations found in the "Tech" section of the forum, so when I got her out to the range for the first time, fired 200 FMJ's & 50 JHP's with no malfunctions. Slide locked back on last round every time also. Get yourself an IWB PJHolster & maybe some rubberized Talon Grips like I did (or any other type of rubber grip for that matter), and you'll never look back! Enjoy the new CM9 and look forward to reading about your first range trip. Good luck & Enjoy! :D

Think that practice got thrown out with the bath water. Besides, with all the Liberals residing in Oregon's Capital, witches would fit in perfectly & probably lead a normal life! Rather scary when you think about it! Arghhhh!

Besides there kimosabe, that was Salem MA you were thinking of. OR had not been discovered by the white man at that point.

Almost exactly. It's built as StoneHenge would have been when it was new.
It's actually a bit disappointing as tourist attractions go, the structure is too uniform and the pattern of the concrete too even to really make an impression like StoneHenge does.

Also, it seems that I remembered incorrectly, and it is in Maryhill, WA, not in Battle Ground. That's about 113 miles away.

Thanks for the warm welcomes. Picked up my CM yesterday and went through the entire prep process. Went do to my local range and put 200 flawless 115gr and about 100rds of 124 +P defense loads. I am definitely impressed with this little firearm.

Didn't have 1 FTF, and the groupings were tight straight out of the box. My only real complaint, as i've read on the forums here too is, I feel like i ran my palm over a cheese grater after about 150rds. I am about to pull the trigger on ordering some rubber talon grip decals. Anyone had good/bad experience with them?

This thread (http://kahrtalk.com/showthread.php?t=15077) talks about that, including a comparison with Hogue grips and a bicycle inner tube.

There are other threads as well. The consensus is that all three are good options, and it's a matter of your preference and budget.
