Hello everybody.

Just purchased a CW9. First handgun as well. Did a lot of internet perusing and display case staring before deciding on going with a Kahr. I went back and forth between the CW9 and a Glock 19, but I decided I'd rather have a single stack when I decide to go for my CCW. Can't wait to take it out to the range this week!

Good for you pal. The CW is a great little gun and a good one to start out with.

Get some trigger time with it and keep us posted on your new relationship.

Welcome to the forum from another North Carolinian! :) There is a wealth of valuable information in the New Member Area (http://kahrtalk.com/forumdisplay.php?f=56) and the Kahr-Tech (http://kahrtalk.com/forumdisplay.php?f=27) sections of the forum.

Thanks guys! Took it to the range today and shot about 100 rounds. PMC FMJ, Federal Hi-Shok JHP, and Zombie Max (all 115 gr). Shot great! This was my first time out shooting a handgun and managed to shoot it pretty well. These aren't groupings - I was taking aim at the target areas to see how close I could get. The last 20 or so were rough, as my hands were shaking from muscle fatigue (I suppose). Today was mostly just to get out and learn the sensation of shooting, recoil, etc. Next time I'll partner up with an instructor or my gunsmith buddy and have them really coach me on technique.

I could do that at 7 feet, but 7 yards is recommended for self defense pistol practice! LOL! :D It looks like you are a natural, or else YOU were shooting at 7 feet! :33:
