Just got my holster and stainess steel guide rod yesterday, the holster little tight, mabye take a week to brake in, I have 2 question to ask anyone here, Do the clip on the holster brake easy, because they made out of plastic? Any adventage stainess steel guide rod over stock guide rod?

I read from some posts/reviews in other forums that the clip is some high strength material, people are saying super strong.. however, also have read that some had broken (reported as "operator error") but Alessi back behind theor products and replaced the clip for free -- some lifetime warranty of that sort.

How do you like carrying it, comfortable?

I have the Alessi for my CW9. The holster is well made and super tight. It's compact too. The piece of leather that wraps around the opening to keep the holster open somewhat rubs on my side so the holster is ok for short periods of time. Over a long day, it might rub me a little raw, even with a t-shirt between me and the holster. If the body side of the holser were all smooth, it would be a lot more comfortable to me, but everyone is different and my spare tire sometimes doesn't care for IWB holsters.

The clip is pretty tuff even though it's plastic. It does have sharp points on the end. Also, if you put the clip over your belt+jeans so that the clip is exposed on the outside of your belt, the thickness of the clip somewhat shows under a thin shirt. What I do is to put the clip on my jeans behind the belt so that there is no hard edges showing. The clip really holds on to your jeans!!! Great retention too. You won't be able to just jerk the holster off easily!!

Oh, I also have the stainless guide rod for my CW9. The original one just got chewed up and groved badly from the recoil spring.

To sum up. . . . order one while they still got 'em. We all have a holster drawer and I've got three other CW9 holsters that I hate. The Alessi is one of the nice ones that I do use.

I was shopping for a tuckable IWB for the PM9 but cannot decide on one which seems to fit my bill. I like the Alessi belt-slide so much that I was thinking of getting their TalonII, but then I came across a barely used Mitch Rosen Clipper at a nice price and I bought it.

I'm still curious how the 2 compares.

Is the muzzle area of the Alessi open or closed?
Just curious.
