Hey All,

I picked my Kahr CM9 up a few weeks ago from a user on Gunbroker. It came with a Trijicon front night sight, an extra mag, and a Desantis superfly pocket holster. I got it for a pretty good deal considering the current market. :)

This is my first "Larger Caliber" pistol. I own a Walther P22 that I bought quite some time ago for plinking. My Kahr is going to be my Conceal and Carry gun. I'm currently in the process of getting that Permit in the mail. I bought a Desantis Sof-Tuk.

I've cleaned it twice now, once before the range and once after shooting twice. It's only not shot one round out of about 250 sound I'm pretty impressed with it. I may have possibly limp wristed the first shot. ;)

Looking forward to using the forums and all the help from everyone, and all the help I've already received from users and previous posts. :)

Welcome to the forum. I've got a Walther .22 myself, but a tinier one... the TPH. I carried it for about a decade before I "discovered" the polymer Kahrs. I've had a K9 since early '98, but felt it was too heavy for CCW, especially in shorts down here in NE Florida.
The PM9 was my first real CCW... centerfire.:)

All of this may not be helpful, but I threw this together for new guys because so many didn't seem to see the welcome post in the new member section:

Welcome to the Kahrtalk forum supported by Kahr Arms.
Here are a few essential links and things to do BEFORE you take your new pistol to the range, and ESPECIALLY BEFORE taking it apart and trying to re-assemble it! The Kahr is a different design… 6-7 unique patents cover the Kahrs. I’m not trying to imply that you don’t know anything about guns, but many don’t know anything about the Kahrs and some of the things you can do to damage or cause malfunctions of your new, or new-to-you Kahr pistol.
First, if you don’t have a manual, yet, or one didn’t come with your pistol, you can download the pdf file here:
http://www.kahr.com/PDF/kahrmanual.pdf
Impatient? Watch one of these videos FIRST! These videos can point out possible problem areas and emphasize correct procedures!

There are many links on fixing problems listed in several places… under the New Member or Kahr Tech sub-forums.
A very handy one is the Kahr Lube Diagram:

Many of your questions can be answered in these areas and you can learn how your Kahr works and not damage it with improper handling.
Frequently asked questions: http://www.kahr.com/faq.asp?

There are many helpful members here most of the time who might be able to help you, but as anywhere, there are many opinions and not all are correct. Be mindful of this before doing anything drastic to modify your pistol!

Welcome to the forum from Colorado. Looks like it's time to break out the Moosehead, eh?

Last summer in "light clothing" mode, I carried a cm9 iwb. It is a real nice piece and if you do your part it'll do great. Found I just needed to get used to the extra long, (but smooth), trigger and it would put the holes where I wanted.

Stay warm!

Yeah. It gets decently warm here in the summer so it'll be carried with shorts too. :) And I'm actually really not a Moosehead guy. Haha.

Thanks for the info! I've already been through the tech section a few times before actually registering. :) All the info is great though.

Welcome!

Don't forget to contact your MN state representative to express your feelings on the current gun control hearings in the MN Legislature, which is trying to copy the NY stupidity.
