I was just wondering if anyone had ever used Militec-1, and what your opinion/experience are of this product. I am considering using it on my 1911, and any feedback i can get would be appreciated.
below is a link to their site for anyone who hasn't heard of Militec-1

I've used it on my 1911, don't really notice much difference...

I use it on all my guns. I will admit that I never run my guns completely dry though. After Militec 1 treatment, I still use a little wet lube. Treatment makes clean up easier and faster. I like it, use it and recommend it.

Best lube for crappy conditions. If you're carrying in dusty/windy/dirty areas it works well as a dry lube. Never failed me in iraq, used it on my M4, M1014, and 92FS during 3 deployments.

Very glad to have you home safe. Are you home for good or will you be going back to the sandbox?

Thank you for your service!!

Yes thank you very much for your service! I have never used Militec-1, I live in a cool wet climate and use singer sewing machine oil on my PM40 with out any problems.

I have used the Miltec -1 on my Kahr and other guns Two sigs and a 1911 a1and it works just fine.
But currently I am using RIG Universal Grease. If and when I go back to Miltec I'll use their Grease on the slide group and oil on the trigger group. I apply heave. My guns are always cleaned right after shooting or shooting class. No grit or dirt ever after one shoot. My carrying and shooting enviroment is light. -5 to +90 F temp range and only for short times.

I've used Militec-1 for many years. I don't think there is anything better in terms of lubrication. With Militec I can notice a small but distinct improvement in smoothness when working the action on my pistols and I've tried many different gun lubes. Some people say they've had rust issues with Militec and there have been a few "tests" posted on the internet that indicate Militec doesn't work very well at preventing rust. But I've never had rusting issues with any of my guns regardless of what lube I've used.

Like ripley said, It seems to make clean-up a little easier.
I use CLP periodically, too especially when I'm going to store a firearm for a period of time.
