So I stumbled across this passage :

Suddenly, the gunfire stopped. From the ninth car in the line, a back door opened. George "Bugs" Moran, dressed in a khaki shirt and brown overalls, calmly stepped out of the car as if he were on his way to yet another dull court appearance in front of Judge Lyle. Cradling a Thompson submachine-gun, Moran strolled over to the front door of the Hawthorne Restaurant as a team of other gunmen alighted from the tenth car with shotguns to provide cover.

Moran slowly knelt down at the restaurant's front entrance, poked his tommy gun in the door and fired off a 100 round drum in ten seconds. Moran calmly stood up, turned around and strolled back to the rear car. The shotgun cover team waited for Moran to enter the car, then they followed him. The driver of the rear car hit his horn three times and, with that, the incredible caravan sped off toward Chicago.

Police investigating the scene later estimated over 1,000 rounds  had been fired.7 The hotels, restaurants, shops, and some thirty-five parked cars were tattooed with bullet holes. Most amazing of all, no one was killed and only four people were wounded.

Seems like an ideal template for a 'caper', particularly if pairs/buddy teams are being scored (which would also make it ideal for couples).

Stay with me on this, ok?

The Primary Shooter has a Thompson w/ 50 round drum (since 100 round drums are still relatively scarce).
The Backup has a five-shot shotgun, pump or automatic.

The lane consists of a wall with doorway, then four or five (trashpicked) tables. Ten targets are arranged at the tables, either replicated seated or standing figures, from 7 to 25 yards.

On the 1st whistle, the Primary Shooter engages all ten targets from a kneeling position - each with a five shot burst.

When complete, on the 2nd whistle, the Backup steps into the doorway and engages from a standing position (immediately behind and a half step to the left or right of the kneeling Primary, whichever is more safe for the Backup shooter).

The kneeling Primary can act as a spotter ("I missed the two goons at the back table!").

This Caper can be made more difficult by making some targets "white" (bystanders, points lost for hitting them).

Amount of engagement time, from start to finish, would be based on the skill level of the group.

For more experienced shooters, a 'door' can be rigged with a pulley system so that the RSO can mask the target arrangements until the last second.

If the Primary Shooter *does* have a 100 round drum, increase the difficultly level by decreasing the time or adding targets).
