I'm kind of partial to your first modification. It looks sort of blank when it's really small. I think that would look good on a stainless version.

BUT, looking again, the last revision ain't bad at all. It's already growing on me considerable.

In hand mine doesn't seem really all that obnoxious but it would be way better if it was shrunk a lot.

A little time on your hands is a good thing I think.

Now I can't make up my mind if I want this one or the relatively new stainless steel version with the front strap checkering.

Be happy with either one I reckon. I do love color case hardening very much.
