Does anyone know what scope ring height I'd want to mount a Nikon Buckmaster BDC 3-9x40 scope onto a MLR22AT rifle? I just ordered the rifle, already have the scope, and want to pick up some scope rings before the rifle comes in.

Let me know and thanks!

Okay...fired off (no pun intended) an email to Kahr tech support and here's what they said:

With a 40mm you should be able to get away with low rings. If they
are to close for comfort you may want to step up to a medium height ring.
With a 50mm you would definitely need to use a medium ring.

Webbie, make sure that you consider the scope caps as well. You need enough clearance for them, too.

Hmmmmmm......well, I ordered the low mounts already, so we'll see how that works out.

The last time I mounted a 50mm scope on a rifle, I bought both a medium and high set of rings with the anticipation of returning the set that didn't fit. It was nice to have both sets on hand since it allowed me to finish mounting the scope before making the trip back to the gun shop to return the unwanted set of rings.

The low rings worked perfectly. I thought I had followed this post up a long time ago.....but I guess not. :)

Here you go! I was also pleasantly surprised to see that not only did it come shipped in a hard case, but it ALSO had the extended magazine release lever AND the sling swivel mounts that everyone complained about them not having. Nice!
