Nothing looks better than a nice set of wood grips on a steel gun. These just arrived in the mail, purchsed from Jocko in the classified area, and I had to show them off.:photo: I've had a set of CT laser grips, but they don't compare in aesthetic appeal or tactile feel.

Congrats on the new grips they look awesome on your K9, You beat me to the punch on buying these from Jocko for my K40. After seeing how good they look on your K9 I am sure I will order a set soon.

Are there any PhD psychologists here? I think I may have very recently developed a severe compulsive disorder. It pertains to seeing a gorgeous gun in a digital photo and all of sudden feeling I MUST have one just like it despite the fact that I just spent a somewhat sizable chunk of money on my very first Kahr which I haven't even received yet. :der:

You beat me to them as well......but that's fine. Nothing is better than wood.

It would really be nice is someone were to start offering a variety of exceptional hardwoods for the Kahr series. Like Spegel and Esmeralda and Hogue and Nill and others others have done. A firearm such as the Kahr deserves the best, I would say.

You might also consider getting some of those classy torx head SS screws as well, like I have on my MK woodies.

a pair of slims made by esmeralda for my Para Carry 9, Now this lady can make grips like you would not believe. I do think if a person could turn loose of a set of wood kahr factory grips, that she could duplicate and even make them thinner even. She once told me that she thought it would be no problem to make a set for my K9 but I just never did it. Her work is awesome..

MK9 wood grips are backordered at Kahr, I have been waiting almost a month on a pair to finish my project.

Later, Mark

Winters on the way and hopefully more bench time for ole Bawanna. I'll whittle out some Kahr handles and see what ya think
Ol Coot, if you haven't ordered any yet, try to be a little patient and I'll put you top of the list.
I'll see if I can find a pic of my K40 with my handles on it and get back.

Heres some early K9 grips I whittled out a couple years back. Skip lined the top and 20LPI bottom.
Whittle the kuboton too prior to getting a lathe. That was a fun time.

You better head for the vet, that birds beak is crooked. Maybe a V8 would straighten it out?

What type of sights are on your S&W 39, I also have a S7W 39-2 that was my first 9mm. I purchase it new almost 30 years ago, still one of my favorites but I would love to upgrade the sights for these old eyes.

That 39 was a friends kids. They were the stock sights and as I recall I didn't like them much. I held my uncles just this last weekend also a 39-2 he thought he got around 40 years ago and it had dove tailed adjustable rear and a red front and they worked real well. I think they were factory also as the gun was absolutely mint, in the original box still wrapped in the factory paper. Couldn't talk him out of it. Gonna leave it for his son in law, not worthy in my opinion but he didn't ask me.
I had a 59 when they first came around and carried it for a long time. Long since history but it was a great gun.

we sold many of the 39-2 back then. super handgun. I think it was the first 9mm that the Illinois State Police went to..

Now you just need to add some SS hex head grip screws to complete the look.
