A "find" in a local pawnshop, so I picked it up. An early model (ser no. AD20XX) K9 with a black slide and plum-colored frame (think HK P7), standard Hogue rubber grips. Sights were replaced with XS Nightsights (lollipop-style), barrel hood was jewelled, and the muzzle looks like it was crowned and polished. The trigger is the kicker, the length of pull is about 2/3 of my K9 Elite, and the reset is at the same place (no going ALL the way forward to the front of the triggerguard anymore for the reset "click"), and the trigger is probably about 4-1/2 lbs and SMOOOOOTH. TJ's emblem is just forward the ejection port on the right side of the slide.

It's got a couple of superficial marks on the finish and some wear on the portion of the slide that protrudes from the dust cover (front of the recoil spring area), so it isn't the prettiest Kahr I've seen (or even own, for that matter) but I did think it was a helluva find, and should be one NICE carry pistol.

I never get that lucky when browsing local shops. That is a very nice find! I like that configuration of night sights as well. I had a similar set on a 1911 a while back and wish I had moved them to another gun before selling it.

Congratulations on your good fortune!

Very nice find!

FYI, the logo on the slide of your Kahr is from Teddy Jacobson of Actions by "T" in Sugar Land, Texas. Teddy is known for his action work. No surprise that your Kahr has such a nice trigger.

I recognize the jeweling as Teddy's work. Teddy states that the jeweling is done so the part will hold oil better.

I have a K9 Elite 98 that Teddy did an action job on. I'll have to post some pics here some day.

Teddy is pretty much retired now. That's a one of a kind pistol you have there.

He sure picked IMO a super model to do that work to. I think the K9 is in a class of its own. Sure would be interesting to know what the original owner had invested in "T" custom work..

Nice find. All I ever see locally is junk.

I've never seen a frame that color. Is that an old factory finish or a refinish job, do you think?

Awesome gun; and I wish I had that trigger on my PM9.

Now THAT'S a nice custom (not a polished, hammered, and blasted "custom").
