question for some one with a set of heinie sights on their kahr what are the measurements on both the front and rear. i have an e-mail conversation going on with someone at heinie but so far no joy, i would like to know if a front sight for a glock would work with a kahr rear for the cw45. if anyone out there has a set and the tools to measure them it would be very much appreciated, thanks in advance for any assistance.

I don't have any answers for you in regards to the Heinie sights, but do have some thoughts regarding Glock front sights and the CW series Kahrs. The CW series front sight is attached to the slide via two posts (http://i50.tinypic.com/iviro0.jpg). The Glock sight has an oval shaped tenon that fits into a correspondingly shaped hole in the slide and is secured by either a small bolt or a peg (http://i52.tinypic.com/25gbhp1.jpg). A Glock sight just isn't going to work without modification to the CW slide.
As a suggestion, the Dawson Precision front sight is .180" tall ( DP Front Sight DP Perfect Impact® Tritium Inserted Front Sight for Kahr Arms Pistols, .180 Tall x .125 Wide, Match with DP or Factory Fixed Rear 019-059 Detail Page (http://www.dawsonprecision.com/ProductDetail.jsp?LISTID=80000A5D-1249936281) ); you might ask the folks at Heinie if that will work with their rear sight.
