I have both of these pistols. On the CW9, the slide stop sets out about
1 mm from the side of the slide, but snaps in snugly and functions perfectly.
On the CW40, the stop sets right up against the slide and is hard to get
out.

Does this result from differences in slide thickness and use of the same
stop for both pistols, or is something wrong with my CW40 slide stop and
spring. I don't want the stop to start to rub on and wear down the slide
on the CW40.

Other than this, it seems to function alright.

JOCKO, help! (by the way, hope your are feeling better after your accident)

According to Kahrs spec sheet the CW9 slide width is 090. The CW40 is 094.

They don't show a separate slide stop and/or spring for each gun (listed as a common part) so I gotta assume they are the same.

I'm not understanding how the slide stop could be right up against the slide as it fits underneath and only contacts the slide where the stop catch hits the slide notch.

I miss Jocko too, he would have probably known this in his head and wouldn't have to look it up.
