Magtech 95gr +P JHP

Shot a magazine through water filled milk jugs and another one through a bucket of motor oil.

This is what I recovered. They were all pretty much the same. Shot from a P3AT.

For reference, I shot this 357sig Speer GD through the same medium.

I also shot this 22lr stinger

Not much expansion huh? You could recover and reload those. Were they contained in the bucket of motor oil. Probably didn't make it all the way out?
Maybe the same for the water jugs.
I don't think I've ever shot a 380. I shot a 25 last weekend to test a little Colt Vest Pocket I worked on. Sweet little (and I do mean little) gun. Ran good.

They penetrated 1 water jug then went squirrely and exited the side of the second. They went through the 1 gallon motor oil jugs and were recovered in the backstops.

Aaah, for some reason I was stuck on a 5 gallon bucket of motor oil. Not sure why I went there. They must be real hard not to deform at all like that.

Magtech is garbage. I shot some 45 Colt through my Judge and it's the dirtiest damn ammo. I wouldn;t think of buying anymore.

Thanks for the psot though, good to know this kind of stuff.

Yeah, I picked it up during the 380 shortage. It was part of their "Guardian Gold" line and was quite pricey.

Billy Mayes Here! "Now you too can shoot hollow points without the mess and cleanup of expansion"
