This is my MK9. When I got her, she was mechanically sound, but she had definitely seen better days. After a few emails back & forth with my gunsmith we decided to add a bit of 1911 character to her. Polishing the flats & media blasting the rounds and top of the slide. Now, all she is waiting on is Baw's grips!

Before: (Wish I had some better pics, but you get the idea)

AND ... The AFTER ... or as I like to say ... The Rebirth of the MK9! (The straight on shots don't do the polished flats any justice -- too much glare. The lay downs, you can really get a feel for just how shiny she is)

Handles should be there in a day or two. Might want to send them back, I'm not sure they are worthy of that pretty pistol. Definitely a Cinderella story. Looking really fine.

Thank you Jocko!

kinda hate to stick something like that in ur pocket even. Kinda makes u wannt hang it around your neck so all could see. U did it right and the gran poobah's grips willonly enhance it further.

He did a super job of saving my herretts grips on my model 60 that I fokked up. but his PINK high gloss enamel finish kinda detracts from my engraved Model 60.

He told me he was doing the same refinish job for some kahr forum member MK series. Kinda anxious to see Pink grips on that super MK:popcorn::popcorn:

Pink high gloss ?!?!?! Has Baw been keeping things from me? Would LOVE to see some pink high gloss ones :)

Too nice! I have thought of "massaging" my elite that way. I am curious if it is worth "me" trying it or having a smith do the work.

What was the cost of the re-finishing if you don't mind me asking? I am thinking about this but with the LPI or snake scale checkering on the front strap and slide top between the sights.

That is really nice!! I love my Kahrs but carrying them does put some dings here and there so I tell myself its only adding "character" to the gun but I do admit to loving that brand new finish while it lasts!

Good photography too!
