I have a MK40 with wooden grips sold by Kahr. The issue that I've been having is the bottom screws always come loose, even with blue loctite. After careful examination, the wooden grip bottom hole is counter-sunk a bit more than the top hole, but the material left between the bottom of the screw head and back of the grip is at least 2X more on the bottom hole than the top hole. So, the bottom screw only has a couple of threads into the frame, whereas the top hole allows at least 5 threads. I have two choices, drill the bottom hole deeper, or get longer screws. I’ve contact Kahr tech support and they were unable to provide the screw type and thread. It’s not 8-32x or M4-0.7 mm pitch… what are they?</SPAN>

I'm drawing a blank on the size but they are the same as a 1911.

Remember also, that if you get a longer screw and send it down tight, your magazine will get hung up, and drag. They are the same for 1911's, .150"-50 as according to Midway.

I had the same problem with my MK9. I emailed Kahr and they sent different screws that worked. I would be a little more persistent.

Thats where I would get them. Brownells has everything. Course you might find 1911 grip screws locally at a shop too.
