I was just at Wal-Mart and bought some WWB100 .45 ACP FMJ and I asked about the Federal Champion 230-gr. FMJ. The cashier said that had all been recalled. I have a bunch... 18 boxes left and just shot 4 boxes and more recently. None of mine was in the affected lot numbers, though.

I have six boxes of the recalled ammo in 45, but when I tried to call Federal I get put on hold forever. I just quit buying it.

Use it as bait. Put it somewhere real obvious in case of another break in and apply a nice coat of flammable varnish to the primer area so that when they shoot them they explode in their face. Justice is served.

I guess it's just the newer stuff. I haven't seen any on the shelves for a while. I'm glad mine's okay... almost 1,000 rounds... most of my supply... of FMJ. Wal-Mart had a lot of WWB100 in .45 and some .380, too.

Oddly enough, the burglars never took any ammo except what was in the loaded mags. That was about 175 rounds in the last incident. I had many hundreds of rounds of 9mm and 45 cal, and even some 40 cal and 380, and it wasn't even locked up. It was in a cabinet in my spare bedroom, and they searched that room. Good idea though.
