I recieved my new MK9 today. I shot 250 rounds without any FTF. I shoot this gun much better than my PM9. I seem to be able to grip this gun better. I guess the extra weight helps me also. :)

are you planning to pocket carry? let us know if there is a noticable difference in felt weight in the pocket

There will be a definite weight difference if you pocket carry. Been there done that.
The MK9 is still a very fine little chunk of steel to be sure. The added weight makes this little gun even nicer to shoot especially if you entend to shoot long stings with carry type ammo.

She sure is pretty, GOOFA. Thanks for sharing pics. My PM9 seems so unsophisticated and utilitarian after seeing such pretty pics of wood and steel.

Yeah, the K9 and MK9 are two of my favorite guns. There's nothin like holdin a steel gun sometimes!

Agreed. Darn nice pictures. I got a big fancy camera with a case and everything, lots of buttons and stuff. No idea what any of them do pretty much. I read the book which was only a few pages less than my last Bass Pro Shop catalog and still dont know nothing.

Gotta be a defective camera. I should probably send it back. I think the lens is bent and the magical coating is flaking off. The shudder wants to lock open about every 3rd memory card. I've had good picture takers try it and it didn't lock open for them so I assume they really don't know squat about taking pictures.

I took the prerequisite 200 break in pictures, racked the memory card door and battery cover 5000 times and tried to mate up me and the camera but so far it just ain't making it. Should I give it a few 100 more pictures or just request a prepaid FEd EX bill and leave it on the porch and hope someone steals it?

Mr. Photogenic. Shot it like I rented it..........................

Congratulations Dons385 on your new MK9 and welcome to KahrTalk.

GOOFA, those pics are great. A great color match between the grips and the holster leather!

I'm with MikeyKahr on the PM9. By comparison, the PM9 looks like a piece of coal Santa threw away.

I'm not sure that I would go that far. Maybe the piece of coal behind the pretty and perfect MK9 piece of coal that I'd put in the front for all to see. The PM9 is that trusty pocketknife that you've had for years that does it all and is always with you, can be called upon anytime that it's needed. The MK9 would be the pretty anniversary edition knife that gets placed in a spot of honor and rarely handled except to be cleaned, checked for imperfections and fondled and put back. All that said, I hope to have an MK9 join my PM9 as funds become available. If I did own both, I know my PM9 would be riding with me more than 95% of the time.

Are the wood grips wider than the factory ones.
