While I love my P380 does anyone think Kahr would ever build a MK380. I know I would buy one. Thanks Dan

Bingo. I had one for trial and eval, it didn't work for beans but I know I could have made it work. I'm hoping Kahr will make them a little better. It was a nice little gun. Being a trial gun, I couldn't do anything to try and make it better. Ended up getting 3 PM9s for officers. I think they are better with them anyway.

The ones that have them love them. Make a great off duty gun and most put them in a vest holster under their shirt.
We have 3 PM9's, 1 K9, 1 MK9 so far. A few others are looking hard at the PM9's and I've generated interest in the CM's now too. Cops hate to spend money, like pulling teeth unless it's donation for another officer or a charity, then money flows like water.
I should hold out till I start getting a commission. My not so local LE gunshop I deal with mostly calls me their outside salesman. Jimbar knows em, Ole Kesselrings is a heck of a gunshop. Its not the greatest if your just browsing although it's fun, they got lots to look at but if you know what your looking for, they most generally got it, even stuff you'd think there'd be no chance of them having. I called about a SP101 22, kind of hard to find, that had it in stock, sent it down, had it the next day. Wifes gun. Had a CT laser grip for it in stock too.

Most of the Kahr interest began with 380's when ammo was so hard to find, I had a tough time finding a dozen rounds to test the micro eagle. 2 officers ended up buying the little Taurus's, the rest stepped up to Kahr 9's.

We did on these. I'm not sure if its because of the LE dealer or if Kahr gives the dealer a better price for LE sales. Kesselrings will usually give me officers price for myself because I buy alot both for the dept and for myself. Other places may or may not give me a deal. Like I don't qualify for LE sales at Bud's. Even though firemen, pilots, and military qualify civilian office pukes apparently don't.
Course the officers offer to help out sometimes too so it all works out for the poor folks.

I know Glock is very cut and dry. There are civilian glocks and LE glocks and they never cross paths. The shop I use the most may be out of civilian glocks but have 50 LE guns. They can't sell them to civilians. And vice versa. Weird, and maybe I'm not understanding it clearly either.

Perhaps a dumb question but what would be the advantage of an all steel small 380 ACP pistol comparing to a polymer or an alloy gun ? What am I missing here ?

A lot of the problems with the P380 seem to have to do with the plastic frame, seeing as how they are replacing a lot of them for warranty repairs. My suggestion for an all steel .32 or .380 is one of the Seecamp pistols.

Presumably (and this is the key word!) a steel frame micro pistol would add weight, but not enough to prevent pocket carry. For example, I easily pocket either a sig P238 or a PM9. They both weigh in at 17 to 19 ounces fully loaded. I doubt an MK380 would exceed this amount, judging from the difference between an Mk9 and a PM9 ... and likely significantly less. The upside, of course is, is size. Wow, I'm talking myself more and more into this prototype as I speak!

An MK45 would just be plain COOL!

i'd rather have a kahr 32 then an all steel 380, but to each his own!

I pocket carry my MK9 all the time. I even pocket my K9 with cargo shorts. As long as your not jogging around playing basketball or something, both pistols are very comfortable. As far as the MK380 and the MK45 (and a K45).....Jay; please put me on all three waiting lists! :D

I would love an MK380 - Just for fun. Too bad its not in the works. As for concealment the MK9 is (IMO) just too heavy. The PM9 is better. If you have a good holster it will hide in jeans as well as the P380. I would recommend PM9 owners who want to conceal get the Stoner front pocket (google Stoner Holsters) . It has a good shape that heeps the bulges off the edges of the pocket which is what makes a pocket holster "work".
