Hello. New here on the forum. I'm in the process of getting a Kahr CM9. I think I'm going to really like this gun. I plan on getting a Super Fly pocket holster but also want an IWB holster as an option. I'm having trouble finding one for this specific model given its recent release. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Hi All, I am knew to the forum. I took my new CM9 to the range and it is a real winner! As far as the holster goes, I just ordered a Don Hume IWB holster with the snaps. Never did like the clip on much. You can order the holster made for the PM9, it's the same size. Hope this helped.

Gotta say a lot of folks really like their Silent Thunder and they have just authorized a special 20% discount for Kahrtalk for 2 weeks. See this post (http://kahrtalk.com/showthread.php?t=7025) for details.

You might want to try the Remora holster, can be IWB or pocket. I carry my pm40 in one.

I have a UBG Holster for Kahrs that is very nicely made -- you might want to check them out.

I picked up my CM9 today and plan to shoot it tomorrow. Assuming it shoots, I've decided on getting the Silent Thunder. I remember when these came out and they looked interesting but I wasn't in the market for a holster at the time. Then they were off my radar.

I purchased the Garrett Industries Silent Thunder IWB holster and took advantage of the group price discount going on. Very fast turnaround time. It came in yesterday and I haven't had the chance to actually carry it yet. So far, I am very impressed.

Nice looking holster I bet its comfortable. I have a R Grizzle holster coming pretty soon for my MK9.

I've also been on the hunt for the "perfect" IWB holster for my CW40. Leaning toward the Falco It 92, the Kholster, Crossbreed Supertuck, or the Minotaur M-tac. What does everyone think of these?

I've been carrying that theis for a little over 2 weeks and I'm more than pleased with it. I just ordered one for my glock 26. The quality is high and the price is low. I think he will give you your money back if you don't like it, just pay to ship it back.

I ordered a holster from http://n82tactical.com/ for my CM9. It is their compact slim holster. I planned on ordering a mini-tuck, but I didn't want to be without a holster while waiting on the mini-tuck. I received the holster from N82tactical four days after I placed the order. I still may order the mini-tuck, but the I can't imagine anything being more comfortable than the N82tactical holster.

My two favorite ItW holsters are the High Noon "Mister Softy" or a Don Hume 715.
I appendix carry all the time and prefer a minimal holster like the two above.

I am looking seriously at the Alter Ego Tuckable Reversed IWB Holster (http://www.highnoonholsters.com/Product_Line/Alter_Ego/alter_ego.html) by High Noon Holsters (http://www.highnoonholsters.com/index.html) for my Custom Polished CM9 (http://kahrtalk.com/showthread.php?t=7334). I am very impressed with High Noon. I like this holster because it is strait drop, meaning you can carry it in a wide range of positions around your waist. If you like FBI cant, look at the Closing Argument (http://www.highnoonholsters.com/Product_Line/Closing_Argument/closing_argument.html), which carries strong side near your hip. If these are a little too pricey for you, look at the Centerfold (http://www.highnoonholsters.com/Product_Line/Centerfold/centerfold.html), the Split Decision (http://www.highnoonholsters.com/Product_Line/Split_Decision/split_decision.html), or go even cheaper with the new DeSantis SOF-TUCK (http://www.desantisholster.com/store/SEARCH-BY-HOLSTER-OR-ACCESSORY/INSIDE-THE-WAIST-BAND-HOLSTERS/sof-tucktm/kahr/pm9), which you can pick up for about $20óreally a nice tuckable holster with adjustable cant. For OWB, I like the Tagua Fully Lined Open Top Belt Holster (http://www.taguagunleather.com/new/open-top-leather-belt-holster-p21) (lined with smooth finished leather to protect the finish on my polished gun). Shoot, the holster is priced at about HALF what some holster makers charge just for a lined OPTION! Its the best holster deal out there, PERIOD!

So many of you have recommended the Silent Thunder that I am going to get one next time they put them on sale. I joined their email list so I'll know about any sales. Absolutely everyone who has gotten one of these holsters LOVES it! When I think about stiff kydex down inside my pants, it sounds like it would be less comfortable than leather, but apparently not. Plus, this holster is $15 less expensive than the reversed leather one I was looking at (or even less when it is on sale). I wish they would repeat that group sale for us KahrTalk folks so that a lot more of us can jump in and get one.

To experiment, I wore the ST without an undershirt for a few hot days. The Kydex actually felt cooler than my skin and was not sticky or uncomfortable at all. What WAS, however, was the leather patch on my Perry Suspenders where everything meets in the back. It sweat, itched and would not stop driving me nuts. I even diapered it with a piece of soft cotton rag which also sweat up quickly and was uncomfortable - and stunk like armpits by evening.

Made me wonder if I could make a Kydex center for my suspenders.

One caution about Kydex holsters. If they are highly detail molded such as the Comp-Tac and Blade-Tech holsters are, the difference in shape of the front of the slide between the CM9 and the PM9 could cause fit problems for a CM9.

This is probably not a problem with the less detail molded Kydex holsters such as the Silent Thunder, and probably not with any of the leather holsters, although some tightness might have to be worked through.

But I am going to wait until I get any detail molded Kydex holsters until I can order them specifically for the CM9.

One exception: the Galco Stinger leather holster is so finely boned, that I would be cautious about it, too.
