Hello everybody. I am new to Kahrs and the forum. I have a new K9. I have about 100 rounds through it so far and am very pleased with it. I am working on my flinch. When I don't flinch, the bowling pins fall right over.
The literature states that the K9 holds 7+1 rounds. How do you get 8 rounds in it? Do you put 8 rounds in the magazine? Or is there another method I don't know about?
Thanks.
Jeff

what they mean is 7 rounds in the magazine and one in the chamber (8 rounds)

jocko,
That's my question. If I put 7 rounds in the magazine, then put the mag in the gun and rack the slide to put one round in the chamber, I then have one in the chamber and 6 in the magazine. So, how do I get 7 + 1?

After you chamber one round from the magazine, you drop the mag out of the grip and add the missing round. This is called "topping off".

You can do it from a full mag, then add one...or from a mag with one round only then fill the mag and re-insert.

That makes sense, thanks.

Make sure that you top off the magazine the way Jocko suggested instead of dropping a round in the barrel and then closing the slide before inserting a full mag. The owners manual states that doing the later could damage the extractor.
