Here's a nice video review of the 1911 by someone new to the platform:

A well done video, thanks for sharing.

The most accurate non-scoped handgun shooting I've ever done was with a 1911. It was a friends full size Kimber but I couldn't tell you which model.

Take care...

Nice video and it shows a colt working right out of box. I think the 1911 platform just got another convert. I love 1911 but I am late to the party so I wont be getting very many but one of them will be a colt for sure.

That's the beauty of the 1911, the parties been going on for 100 years and it's never too late to join in. I suspect the party will still be going on in another 100 years and I hope we're all still there doing what we do best. Party!

The last gun that I would ever give up is my 1911 A-1 Series 70 Colt Gold Cup. Cocked and locked is the only way I carry it.

Johnh must have fixed the censor. He said cocked and locked.

So that's one, my first choice is off the table, which model of Woodsman you got?
