A few days shy of a month ago I ordered a Kirkpatrick Leather Compact Undercover holster for my T9. I'd previously spent hours and hours online trying to find the "perfect" leather holster. I wanted one that would ride very slightly high and hold closely to the body. I also wanted one that looked as good as the T9 does. It would have been a crime to throw it in a cheap nylon Uncle Mike's. I found the Compact Undercover and thought it looked great, it's also a bit cheaper than a similar type Galco or Mitch Rosen. I contacted Kirkpatrick via email asking if they could make that particular holster for the T9 and received a response very quickly from Jason K (Kirkpatrick?). He informed me that they do in fact make it and that they also had a right handed brown one in stock. If I wanted a different color or hand it would be 6-8 weeks. Luckily, that was the one I wanted! I placed my order online and considered myself lucky there was one in stock. I'm not good at waiting, and I was itching to carry my T9. I received an email from Jason the next day saying that there was a problem with the one they had in stock. Here's the email:

"I went to our gun shop today to double check the fit on your 2145 holster. The holster fit was not right. I asked Mike Kirkpatrick what was going on with that holster and he said the dummy gun’s dimensions were wrong and that is why he hadn’t sold it. So that’s the bad news. The good news is that he sent me back here with the real T-9 to make your holster, so I am 99.9% sure we’ll have it out today. You ordered it because it was “in stock”, so it wouldn’t be fair to try to make you wait now. Since we rarely get orders for that gun, he had kind of forgot about ordering the new gun mold."

That's awesome customer service in my opinion. Now, if the holster lives up to my expectations we have a winning company in my book. Well, I've been using it for around three weeks now and it does. I love it. The quality is way better than my Galcos and Don Humes, and I even like it better than my Mitch Rosen Express Line. The holster was $64 and shipping was $10(I thought $10 was a bit much, but not bad) so the total was $74, which is $5 less than the lowest price I could find, without shipping, for the Galco Concealable Belt holster I have for my Sig P239.

I almost forgot, here's a link to the holster on their site: http://www.kirkpatrickleather.com/concealment/compact-undercover-78

The holster has slight forward cant, a body guard, reinforced mouth, very strong double stitching, and smells awesome. :D There is no active retention, but the hand boning does provide the best positive retention I've ever experienced in a leather holster. Ok, time for the pics!

Wow, that really was an example of above and beyond customer service. I've never dealt with these guys but I'll surely consider them for my next holster.

As an FYI for other members: I have found that my T9 fits in my Milt Sparks VM2 for Glock 19 extremely well. There is only a very small bit of space between the trigger guard and the holster. I am thinking of adding a bit of epoxy or resin to fill the gap. After I do that it should work quite handily.
