Has anyone bought the parts needed to turn their Stainless PM9 into a Blackened Stainless? Is it just the slide and the barrel or were there other parts which had to be purchased?

I would suggest if you want change the slide color to send it to some one that will change for you. For example, CCR Refinishing (http://www.ccrrefinishing.com/hg.htm) (I have no business affiliation) did a slide of my PF9 and they did a good job. I believe it would be more cost effective. :4:

There are other parts if you want it to look just like the Black Diamond 9094 model. The trigger and other parts are also black. If you just want to have less brightness I think the slide would be the only thing to worry about.

I looked at their site and the do seem to have reasonable prices. How well did the slide on your PF9 hold up after it was done? Any issues with wear marks from your holster?

Thanks,

Ok here I go, this picture was taken today and the Cerahide was done in April 2009, the original color was blue, it was not bad. But this is way much better and resistant.

This is the color you may want for your PM9:

I was going to send my K9 in to CCR to have it refinished, but they never bothered to answer my email so I guess I'll send it somewhere else; to someone who wants my business. Or detail strip the gun and do it myself.....I'm thinking maybe I'm just getting lazy in my old age.

Calling is the best way to contact them::84:

Perhaps for them.....but they offered a contact email address and I prefer record communication, esp when getting a quote. Like I said, I'll just go elsewhere, to someone who cares enough to bother to answer.

+1. Trust, but verify.
