  1. Hi there...

I bought my CBOB in November and paid $1000 at a LGS. I was looking around and there she was, pretty as you please. I too thought I can't spend that much on a pistol, but it was all I could think about. I didn't own a 1911 and I was intrigued with the idea. The rest is history and I went a few days later and brought that baby home. I love the gun, it is a quality firearm and for the money, I think it's worth it. They were difficult to find in 2009 and now they will be even more difficult to find in '10. I think $1300 is high, but that may be what they are going for with the discontinuation in 2010? I have to say I love my CBOB and have no buyers remorse. I purchased the grips separately from Ryan at the finer grain, he's a great guy and creates gorgeous grips. The Finer Grain and Sarge's Grips

You might want to check out the 1911 forum, specifically the DW thread, there is a thread of DW's that folks spot at LGS's.

Hi Ms mx5fan. I was at a gun show and stumbled accross a Dan Wesson Cbob. It was 1100 bucks which of course was 1000 more than I had with me. I fell in love with it very much. It didn't have your awesome Buckeye grips but just felt awesome and looked high quality. So I get home and start trying to find a way to get one and low and behold they discontinued them in 2009 to be replaced with a Vbob, very similar but alot more money. Anyhow I found one on gunbroker near new, at 1000 with a buy now of 1300? My question if you don't mind revealing, how much did you have to part with, yours almost had to be like custom shop or something with those beautiful handles and more importantly would you pay 1300 for another one without the grips. Any buyer remorse? I love my Para, I actually have 3 but for some reason I'm suddenly hung up on trigger reset which is horrible on an LDA. I get these silly things in my head and I go insane till I'm holding one of my very own. I sure love yours.
