I'm original USP Compact 45 Stainless was from about the same time.
And you're right, no LEM option.
Got mine with no safety just a decocker Stainless with NS direct from HK.
Couldn't hit the broadside, or any side, of a barn with it.
Didn't know about Hk cover up sight picture (it was my first HK)
Sold it quickly for what I bought it for.
Always regretted that
Got a killer deal on a new release USP 45 Compact Stainless ($699 I think).
Snapped it up, converted to Light LEM and put Heinie Straight Eights on it.
I can shoot it fine set up like that.
Now the LNIB USP Compact 40 Stainless was made before LEM too.
But I knew I could still convert it to LEM with the addition of one new part (New Style Sear Catch - LEM & Standard Models) :biggrin1:
That part and a standard HK LEM conversion kit and you're good to go! :D
Naturally I put my proven Heinie Slant Pro Straight Eights on the USP Compact 40 as well.
It shoots fine.
I've got a passion for 357 Sig.
So I got OEM HK 357 Sig barrel and mags for the gun.
Isn't that nice?
Cabela's normally has really bad prices on guns.
Even the used gun case generally has IMHO stupid NEW prices.
And new guns I can get of the net much cheaper.
But a LNIB USP Compact Stainless 40 for $499?
Are you kidding me?!?!?
The LNIB W. German factory nickel plated Sig P220 45 @ $999 may not have been a deal?
But to me? it absolutely was
I don't know if Cabales just doesn't really know the value of some of these used guns?
Or folks inherit guns from someone's gun safe and flip them to Cabela's for a song.
Cabela's has a basic markup for used guns they bought to sell.
And that's it!
They make money and I get a great deal!
I'll do that seven days a week and twice on sunday :D
