If it is consistent to one mag, and one mag only .... you can permanently fix the issue forever for $30.
Throw it out and buy a different one. No muss, no fuss.

The size between the 9 and 40 are near identical. Only the slide is just slightly beefier. Everything else is identical. the 40 holds one less round.

Jeff, That won't happen with a magazine loaded and a round in the chamber. Try it with a snap cap, if you are not at the range. It's fairly normal to get some movement without pressure on the slide...
