Darn it that's funny! I was thinking the exact same thing. He has no common sense AND bad taste in countertops[emoji38]

Funny:D
This is a well used $300 gun. Nothing more IMHO.
Now if it had been owned and shot by Bawanna...hmmm
I too noticed the...er...Master Grip. The middle looks like an AR10 and if the present vertically challenged "range officer" tried to fire it with those heels, they would be picking her up 15 yards...
FWIW, I have one and have been carrying it for over 3 years in a TT Gunleather custom convertible IWB/OWB. It still looks new. I also have around 500 rounds through it with no issues to date.
I am sure it couldn't be put any better!
Still trying to picture the goat's face though...:D
Not sure how you carry but IMHO, MKs require good IWB/OWB holsters as they are too heavy for pocket carry. The PM series are better for that.
Good luck with the purchase & refinish.
I wouldn't want you to part with them if they mean that much to you...but I would buy them if you wanted to sell them to me...
PM me if you want to.
Thanks Bawanna!:D
I'll keep waiting and looking. I like the figuring on both but the color isn't what I was looking for. I do like the deep variations in Cocobolo and in the Burls. Can the color be dyed/stained...
Bawanna you are correct. I was not thinking clearly as my post was near 1700hrs.
I "meant" to say "magazine release thumb relief" or something like that.
Burl, Rosewood, darker stained Bubinga...
Got it. My bobtail is a little more extreme and I have done some additional radiusing. I have been browsing this thread and like way too many of your options. I would even entertain modifying a...
Bawanna,
Not sure about Jocko and the "rainbow thing"...but I will be sending you some tracings re: my recently bobtailed and melted 1911. I will peruse this thread and see what wood strikes my...
I have a custom TT rig for my MK9. I liked it so much I had him make one for my 1911. My XD9sc is in one of his Uncle Mike's IWBs.
The beauty of the MK9 and 1911 style is that I can wear them...
My MK9 Elite does just what Bawanna said re: shooting with too relaxed a grip (limo wrist...sort of). The brass to the forehead is a wake up call to hold on tighter and with the correct grip. ...
Here I am trying to continue through this thread while feeling sorry for Bawanna and I get this image and now I have to clean my keyboard up from the coffee spewing.
My son is pretty squared away...
That is not bad...considering just coming off a big holiday.
I know you probably used the Macro function on your camera to take those pics but that frame, besides the defective area, looks like...
I can shoot that well...when I am right in front of the target...hahaha...jk
Well as I am not on here too often lately, I'll give you my $.02 too.. :D
1 - limp-wristing (until proven otherwise by yourself at the next practice session)
2 - ammo, My 03 MK9 Elite eats...
The back surgery was a bit more detailed than first thought but thankfully no fusion, pins or screws. The initial recovery took about 15-1/2 weeks whereas the rest could be up to 2 years...but I am...
Not to jack this thread or anything...but...HI BAWANNA...I'm Baaaaaaaack...:D:D:D
I agree on needing enough meat below the screw heads. 1911 screws are fairly thin and you have to "listen" when...
That is a great gift and I am sure your son will be surprised. :)
OAN, please express my sincerest thanks to your son (and all others) who serve or have served our country. My son is in college...
I have a custom made TT Gunleather unit shown here. I am sure Tim could add a thumb break no problem. This holster was originally going to be an OWB but I had him alter the design and include two...
Jocko,
I wouldn't use self-deprecating humor like that to describe you...:p
I might have to send you a good keyboard and mouse...;)
BTW, my MK loosened up nicely after 400 rounds.
