I have some AR-15 magazines that have been loaded for 25 years .. I haven't shot the AR in 25 years either but every once in awhile I will push down on the rounds in some of the magazines and they...
Love shooting the 22's (although a 60 with tracer's is a lot of fun) .... I still want the first Kahr 22 off the assembly line (pm frame) ... when I got my first pension check I used it to buy our...
Just read this whole thread and have a thought about spring tension ... do you think that leaving the weapon loaded all the time will weaken the firing pin spring to a point of failure. I do carry...
Got a chance to run 60 rounds through the MK9 today ... was around 20 degree's when doing so here in Mo. .... No failures to eject this time at all but still had four or five failures to reset the...
Nice find ... The MK9 is a fine piece of equipment ...
The old MK9 is back together and the trigger feels much smother with a snappier return ... probably took about two hours from start to finish but I polished everything I could while apart .... I put...
I guess I could but I wouldn't learn anything about my pistol doing that ... and it's an old 99 model so would probably end up with more in it than it's worth ;( .. doesn't look all the hard to do...
Thanks Greg ... I was afraid to try a punch and when I had the punch in the drill press it wanted to flex ... I kept thinking I needed a shorter punch to stop the flex .... I'll give it a tap and see...
Anyone have any good tricks for getting the trigger pin out of my MK9 ... I had a bright ideal of buying a new drill press to use to press the pins out with ... it worked great on the cocking cam pin...
Nice picture.
My son and I did this mod and Tigman250's to a pair of cw380's and you can ride the slide closed with both of them, they have feed, fired and ejected everything we have tried ... the only ammo that...
After looking at the gun again I believe at least part of the problem is with the cocking cam spring .. it seem pretty weak and the trigger works much better when applying hand pressure to the...
Thanks for a quick reply Greg ... I suspect the problem might be the trigger bar and or trigger spring ... without a reset on the mk9 the trigger is a lot lighter than my 380. .... The trigger bar at...
Need some help with a 99 MK9 .. had about any problem you could think of when I first shot the pistol ... with help from this forum and the good people here I have cleared most of the problems up...
Gotta love the 380 round .... Looking forward to your next video :)
Guess I didn't mention that I live in the country and can step outside and shoot all we want ... this all started with my wife wanting to shoot 22 pistols but then found out that my son and I could...
I have worried about the ceiling (floor/joist) ... it is all insulated between the joist and haven't noticed any problems there yet ... might need to rethink that area for safety.
Been mostly summer shooting until now and have a set of double doors just to the right of where we shoot and a fan in a window but with winter here it will be more of a problem.
I like that ... cost turns me off a little.
Seems like sand would be one of the best materials for stopping a bullet.
That is some tuff rubber ... I like the idea of shredded rubber but not easily available in my area ... sand would be good but messy.
Would like to hear what others are using for bullet stops for their home indoor/basement/garage ranges .... We started with 22's then found we could also stop our 380's with the rubber stall mats...
My carry choice is a bronze cw380 with a Vedder kydex holster ... I also have an MK9 (used) that I've never fired with Clinger kydex holster (Vedder hands down for me) I just bought a cw380 stainless...
