Akron? Akron Ohio? Never heard of it.
Actually, U of A 1971.
GO ZIPS
Yes, the spring may be in the wrong place.
Also, clean all oil out of the magazines.
I had the same issue with my CM40. I bought a laser bore sight and there was NOTHING wrong with the gun.
I put on night sights and that, along with concentration, helped immensly
Fired some WW 180 Bonded JHP and some Ranger 135 JHP.
Both functioned perfectly.
Ever since I cleaned the oil out of the mags have not had a PSL.
And I am actually learning how to hold so I...
PSL is a known and documented issue on the small Kahr guns.
I told you what I found that cured it - simply degrease the inside of the mags.
You have waxed on about wax. Wax whatever you want.
...
I think I made it clear that the PSL problem on my two Kahrs was traced to oil inside the mags allowing the rounds to slide forward under recoil and therefore be able to hit the SL on the way up.
...
No, my MK-9 did PSL at least once in every mag, no matter what ammo I used and no matter that I ground down the stud a lot.
I gave up and traded it in.
When I first got the CM40, it did the...
You do NOT want the inside of the mags slick. This is a big mistake and will lead to PSL on some guns.
MINE was cured by degreasing the inside of the mags. If the next round is allowed to slide...
Do NOT wax the inside of the mags. You do NOT want them slippery, it allows the rounds to slide forward under recoil and contact the SL on the way up.
Degrease degrease degrease.
degrease the insides of the mags.
The REAL solution to the PSL problem is
DEGREASE THE INSIDE OF THE MAGAZINES
I had this problem with an MK-9, and then with my CM40 when I first got it.
Yes, the round is hitting the SL, but the...
Agree. Needs to be cleaned, not sprayed.
The other thing that comes to my mind is that it is possible that the firing pin block is not being depressed fully, causing the striker to drag on it, resulting in light hits. This would indicate a...
If it is not going fully into battery you can also get light strikes (and be thankful it did not fire out of battery).
Could be a very dirty chamber or a burr on the extractor. OR some other issue...
I carry a G26 in my pocket all the time.
My CM 40 did the same thing. I was sure it was the gun. (talking about the nose dives). I bought one of those laser bore sighters. Sights are dead on.
I put the night sights on, and REALLY...
This is the second report of this issue I have seen posted.
You are complaining about 147gr 9mm?????
Move up to the CM40 180gr son.
The 250 round packs are yellow. The hundred round packs are green.
AFAIK the ammo is the same, but I don't think JHP comes in 250 round packs.
Aside from the squib, the JHP is definitely loaded...
It is just a Remington brand name for marketing purposes.
I must say this however:
Last year I had a Remington UMC JHP squib in my Glock .45. They sent me a check for $10 for my trouble - which...
Uncle Mikes #4
I bought some Winchester Ranger Law Enforcement 135 JHP from Lucky Gunner. It has two benefits in the CM40.
1. Less recoil, faster back in target. Still makes high velocity .40 holes
And MORE...
I have the CM40 and it works perfectly.
My most favorite pocket gun the the Glock 27 EXO. It just shoots so fine and makes BIG holes. Even people who know I am carrying can't spot it in my pocket....
If you get a good one you are gold.
If you get a lemon it will drive you to drink.
