Thanks for the information on the Kimber and Sig mags.
Thanks Greg, that is what I was reading elsewhere but want the opinion of the experts here. I will probably try the ACT-MAG first and see how they function.
If you haven't already checked. Apex Tactical makes a Trigger and spring kit for these. It will reduce the trigger weight down to about 5.5. I have put their kits in 2 out of 3 of my M&P's and they...
Thanks for the help. I would really like to use the CW in the matches.
I would like some recommendations for 8 round 1911 mags for my CW45. I have read that works with no mods, but I would like to hear that from someone here. I would like to shoot this for the new...
Bawana,
I received a Bushmaster Carbon 15 Gen2 for Christmas. I have taken it to the range twice and really like it. The one I have is totally fiber upper and lower. After adjusting the red dot...
I have found that CW45 need shorter OAL than others also. I have also found that bullet shape is a big factor. Using the same OAL but different bullet shape and they wouldn't seat.
I have one and have used it for IDPA style matches with no problems drawing. Also, when not in use, I tuck the cover flap between mattress and box spring and use it as a bed holster.
Many of those scenarios you speak of are shot in IDPA. We often have them set where you are at a table empty and have to star with a load and fire. The one thing I did notice in the video was that...
I don't like the new look. The way the new entries are displayed on the splash page is very confusing, and I am an IT professional. The color doesn't bother me just the way some of it was...
IDPA is a scenario based match. Normally you are tasked with shooting your targets in a prescribed order. I will be participating in a local match this Friday. It is time/accuracy based scoring. ...
Navy 1971 to 1981. FTG1 NEC 1126 (MK 56 Gun Fire Control System) and 1127 Basic Point Defense Missile System
I do about the same mount. I use the bar that goes across the front of the seat for adjustment to mount mine. I use a paddle just like you do, snap it over the bar. It is then between my legs in...
Thanks, Greg, those links were helpful. I will have to compare prices to having the cerakote done.
No one has tried it or has an opinion?
Has anyone tried to cerakote their mags to be all black? I was just surfing around and found an article on cerakote and the idea popped into my head. It should be thin enough to not hinder...
I used to watch the projectiles from the 3 inch 50 cal and 5 inch 54 cal guns on my ship all the time.
Sounds good. I would feel like I am out of ammo if I get down to 500 rounds. I try not to go below 2000 of every caliber I reload except shotgun. I have decided not to continue reloading shotgun...

AIRet,
Do you by chance shoot IDPA? If you take the course you describe, it would help you practice and reinforce your training.
Temperature and humidity will change your weight also. Leaving it could have given time to change from these factors. I always fill my powder dispenser and wait about 30 minutes to start...
I used chopsticks the first time I took mine down. I put them in the ejection port. The slight taper let me get the proper alignment with the witness mark.
I didn't install the M&P kit but I did install the one for a Sigma. Their instructions are good and it was pretty easy. They make quality parts.
I have no problem with the trigger. I shoot my CW45 at IDPA all the time and the CM9 at BUG matches. They get as many down Zero's as anything else I shoot and at the same speed.
