It is a cira 1990's , don't remember the exact date, Ed Brown Executive Elite(I don't think they offer them anymore, luckily the serial number is blurred a bit, but it only has 4 digits.). Still,...
Currently sporting WC Starbursts standard thickness, thinking Ironwood, would look nice. As you can see the bluing is all gone. Had this pistol for almost 30 years now. My wife almost divorced me...
This year for the first time in almost forever, I am gong to switch from my 1911 CCO, to a K40. The K40 is slightly lighter, and smaller. Conceals a wee bit better under a T shirt. Not giving up a...
Was the slide DLC?
My Dad was a BIG Nascar fan, where we lived, Charlotte, Rockingham, and Darlington were all within 2 hours. We went to six races every year. A buddy of my dad, bought a well used school bus, and...
We moved into this house 16 years ago, and bought all new, Whirlpool appliances at a scratch and dented place. Saved about 50%. The fridge died last year, bought a new Whirlpool, got 15 years out of...

They are very purdy.
Do you, make thin grips? Every try Ironwood?
I have been thinking about getting a slim set of Ironwood grips for one of my Gov't models.
I have found the Kahr trigger, to be great for teaching newbies. There is no stacking, so they cannot anticipate the break, and tend to flinch less. Might be why I love it too. :-)
In my mind, it makes sense for a nice folder to cost more than a fixed blade. More metal, bearings, screws, locking mechanism, etc... Plus knife folks focus on fit and finish, centering of the blade...
That is a good price for the DLC coating, they usually run 25-50.00 more than the plain stainless.

How many have ordered custom knives?
I never have, but recently discovered a custom knife maker, about 35 minutes away. He has a web site, and I really like this model, different scales and pins...
My 2 ¢, you should shoot at least 50 rounds per month in whatever your EDC is. More is okay, but less is not.
The only cow in a small Iowa town stopped giving milk. The people did some research and found that they could buy a cow just across the state line in Wisconsin for $200.
They bought the cow from...
I wish I had one.
I joined the Navy on April 1st, tried for the next 4 yrs, to convince them it was a joke. No Joy.

Cannot find my original posting. The site does not like short search parameters, like CZ97. I know this is a problem with certain SQL databases, and assume the site runs on one.

I use Loctite purple on occasion. It's for screws. Not bolts.

DAO,
I always compared the K9 to officer size, and T9 to Commander, guess I was wrong. But..others have mentioned using 1911 holsters for the T9, who knows.
I am not a prepper, but know one. He has two of everything.
However, I am set up for a short term disaster. I keep enough food for a month, and drinking water for 2-3 weeks. (And lots of striking...
Well, these are not my favorites by any means, but they fit the circumstances, and I shoot both well.
My Beretta M9, and CX4 Storm. Both use the same magazines, and I have a lot of mags.
