What brand of ammo? IIRC, Kahr's 45's have a relatively tight chamber and may cause issues with some ammo. I know mine don't like Corbon ammo.

There is a thread on this forum about modifications to 1911 magazines for the CW/P45. When I tried it with a Wilson (IIRC) the bullets sat high enough in the firearm that they would feed off of the...
It's the same with my K9 and T40. No issues that I've seen. The tightest slide to frame fit I've ever seen was on a Colt Gold Cup. When in battery, viewing the firearm by the FPS, the slide and...
Looks like a blemish. If it bothers you, you can try contacting Kahr's warranty department. It might not be worth it, IMO, but I get wanting better QC from manufacturers.
My 20 year old K9's...
Does anyone have experience with the Bianchi 3S for Kahr? Suggested on another forum, I purchased a 3S for my 5" 1911, and it wears well and is very comfortable (even when sitting for long...
Are you gripping the firearm too low? I find that WWB FMJ shoots very light, and WWB JHP almost as light with the CW45. Similarly, if I shoot my K9, it seems flippy unless I have a high hold.
In...
I have 3 Kahr 45's. Although most 45 ammo I tried works fine, some do not, and cause the same issue you described. For me, the brand that often doesn't work, is Corbon. I have not had issue with...
If you don't have a .22lr pistol, I'd go for it. I really like the 22/45 I picked up years ago.
I own an M9 and shot a P229 in 40 (ended up getting an M2.0 FS 40 instead). For CC I would...
I don't have pics right now but if enough were interested I could take some. I've been using a Vedder LightTuck for both my PM45 and CW45 pistols. They are good value, were available for my models,...
Nice!
I have a CW40 and T40, both bought new. The CW40 is pretty close to your P40. The following is just my opinion (suggestions are in the second half of the post)...
MY OPINIONS:
1. Although the...
Update 9/17/2020: I received the two magazine catch buttons back from Cummings on Thursday, Sep 17th. I mailed them out within a day or so of my last post (#12). They look good. I took pics for...
I don't know if you want to do any minor GS work on your firearms, but you might talk to Galloway Precision. They have a flat faced "short stroke" trigger, although supposedly they will make a sear...
I don't have an elite. I do have variants from the C, P, K, TP, and T lines, though. I can't say that I notice a difference in any of the triggers, except with the newer ones that smooth out over...
Could you upload a pic of the area of the follower that pushes on the magazine catch? I thought I read somewhere that the older followers sometimes had issues with cracking because of the clearance....
Update: I contacted Cummings Custom Refinishing and they said they would still do magazine catches and suggested the CPII plating. I downloaded the form from their website and sent in two magazine...
I tried to fit my Lakeline magazine sleeve for my 9mm onto my 40. It wasn't wide enough. The difference is tiny, though.
My PM45 is dimensionally very similar to my K9 (old version). I'm very happy with that size.
About two years ago I ended up purchasing a CM9 after renting a S&W Airweight and Glock G43 (I already owned a K9). I haven't regretted it since then. I hope you enjoy your MK9!
I have a PM45, CW45, TP45, old K9, CM9, CW40, and T40. The only issues I had were:
1. CW40 had multiple problems (maybe caused by a single issue), which sending to the factory seemed to fix (no...
Any updates on how well their coating lasted? I ordered two new mag release buttons for my daily carry's (CW45 and PM45... not at the same time) because they were starting to rust (summertime AIWB...
I saw this a few years ago. Did not work on my old K9.
Sorry to bring back an old thread, but I'm noticing rust on my PM45 (bought used) and my CW45 (bought new last year). I didn't notice it before (winter), but now that I'm doing a lot of work outside...
My TP45 slide fits on my CW45 frame and vice versa. However, their dust covers seem identical. The TP9 and CT9 look like their dust covers are longer than the CW and P series but it still might...
A good belt and holster makes a big difference. Any change often takes some time to get used to. However, with a good setup, you can be comfortable with most firearms. My heaviest setup is with a...
