Kowabunga ! a famous Indian once said . I was starting to think that spring would never compress enough so I could seat the assembly ; I would say it is half again as hard to bring the slide back to...
after 12 yrs. of faithful service and almost 11k rds. down range w/o failure, I 've replaced the original recoil spring assm. hope the new one will last as long .

not to cause controversy, but my 12 yr. old CM 9, 11,000+ fired, EDC/IDPA BUG gun is still ejecting and going into battery robustly on the original recoil springs. just broke a cocking cam spring a...
I never had that problem with my CM9; in fact I had to drill/tap the mag release and added a 8-32 sight base screw for more length so I could reach it with my thumb (short thumb); I have some course...
I don't know if the recoil pulse would make a difference , but I exclusively shoot whatever brand of 115 gr. ball is on sale (no steel case) for matches , and 115 gr. critical defense for EDC ,...
"action taken: magazines: 1mk 720 , mine) replaced broken cocking cam spring; function checked ok , test fired ok , (1 full mag of pmc bronze 124 gr. fmj) "_ 15 ; it even shipped with a nice plastic...

does anyone have experience with a priority 5 level response time ? my CM 9 died in the middle of a IDPA match july 15 th. , (no trigger reset) I dropped it off at my LGS that day , who preferred to...
my EDC /BUG CM9 which I bought new in 2012, died (trigger would not reset) during a IDPA (BUG DIV.) match 7/15/23 after about 11,000 rounds down range since new ; first FTF ever, and still original...
I"m sure this has been asked before , but I may have missed the responses; will the Kahr 10 rd. mag work in a CM9 as a EDC reload?

would the pierced primer be caused by the double strike as it was the one that failed you ? just guessing .

I shoot my CM9 EDC in IDPA bug also; IDPA stages are set up to be revolver friendly and the trick is to avoid static reloads , even if it means a extra shot on a target . the REAL pleasure is seeing...
I'm not much of a dot guy either ; I am baffled about adapters vs milling the slot though.

just spit balling here; does the SN have to be on the grip? can it be engraved on the hood? how about moving the plate to the bottom of the dust cover with epoxy ?
I have a CM9 that I had my LGS mill a front dovetail so I could mount a set of TFOs, yellow rear/grn. front; while not a "big dot" my 76 yr.old eyes see the fuzzy grn. dot between two some what fuzzy...
you won't be sorry; dovetails open up a lot sight options, but my Kahr has the yel./grn. TFOs which I can see even with 76 yr. old eyes, w/o glasses.

my TFO's are made for all Kahrs and fit the Kahr dovetail. + a good gunsmith can mill the slide to the front sight dovetail if needed.
since you are going to replace the front sight anyway, may I suggest that you invest in having a front dovetail milled in the slide.you now have IMHO, closed the performance gap between CM/PM 9s. ...
I'm a glockophile at heart, but a CM9 has been my EDC for years because of its' carry flexibility; lately though with the onset of colder weather (heavier jackets) I've been considering my G19 in...
dawn dish washing soap (the one used to clean oil spill fouled little ducks) and HOT water/toothbrush works well also.
Ace Hardware; look for rubber O-rings in the plumbing section. .50 ea., depending upon size and thickness.
