One of my sons has no interest whatsoever in guns/shooting. I was going to give him the .22 that I got when I was 10 (my first gun) but he doesn’t want it. I can’t wrap my head around that.
Never should have let my son try it. He wants to commandeer my new pistol now. 👎
Finally got to the range. The pistol worked great, a little extra push to go into battery with the first two rounds but otherwise a fun pistol to shoot!
Bawanna is correct. I discovered the broken follower when I was loading the magazine for the first time. The front leg was broken off.
Too much spring pressure?
Yes, brand new. Looks like a typical new Kahr.
Lakeline followers showed up today. Hoping to try this pistol out tomorrow. According to the info that came with the followers, the 40s tend to flex more than other calibers and tend to break more...
Great tip! Thank you! Just ordered a couple.
AHA!
The follower is broken!
Hen as in egg laying fowl?
Had to have a thick skin in my family. Getting offended would get you picked on. By mom usually.
I’ll get that mag cleaned up!
Thanks!
Can’t wait to take it to the range. I’m doing the new Kahr prep now. I noticed the magazine follower sticks about halfway down and won’t return to the top on its own. I’ve already got a...
Got the pistol a day early! Never had a .40 before; makes the 9mm look pretty small!
I’ve been really happy with my CM9 but decided a little longer grip would be nice. Instead of simply getting a CW9, I found a great deal on a CW40. Then gun should be at my FFL about Wednesday &...
Made it to the range. As I suspected, the CM9 ran perfectly with both target ammo and Winchester Defender +P hollow points. Accuracy at the 7 yard line is better than good enough for self defense. ...
Have these tips worked for you?
New CM9 in hand! Can’t wait to get to the range and start breaking it in.
I have a Sig P938 that pulls a round loose every time I eject a loaded mag, so it’s not just Kahr.
Dumb move. Had my eye on a new range gun, so I traded a couple handguns in, one of which was a CM9. I really miss that little pistol. Only problem it had has releasing rounds from the mag too...
I like the way you guys think.
I keep going back to my CM9. My shield 9 continues to gather dust, my FNS9C gets carried a lot but (slightly larger than a g26 & more shots) but dang, when I put on the Kahr, I can almost forget...
I use a Bulldog safe. It has a cable that i can wind through the seat structure. It's just there for the type of situation I mentioned. I take the magazine with me and lock up the gun.
I nearly forgot that I had mine in my pocket earlier. Headed to a gun free zone and had to rush back to put the Kahr in the car. ( this particular gun free zone has felony penalties for ignoring...
I started my Kahr addiction with a CW380 as well. That's what made me want the CM9. Now that I have both I see myself selling other guns before selling a Kahr.
I'll be keeping my Shield too. Mainly because I bought mine during the rush and over paid. New Shields cost nearly $100.00 less than what I paid in '15.
