Nice shooting. Save that target picture.
I'm too old/lazy to reload so many years ago I decided to settle on 9mm for range games (IDPA, IPSC, etc.) and for carry. Always impressed by the .45s but...

I must agree with the earlier post --- Kahrs fulfill a market niche --- slim excellent carry guns.
Don't acquire other half @@@ labels/guns; spend money on advertisements in the big gun rags to...
21 to buy a rifle?
OK, 21 to vote, 21 to drink, and 21 to be subject to drafting into our Armed Services.
If politicians think that young folks are too immature to own a rifle then they are...
"Hats Off" to the hard working men & women of the police, fire departments, EMS of this great Country. They are the one's who shoulder the burden of keeping our society on an even keel, not the...
I've not seen an extended mag release for Kahr.
If it's a good buy, get it and then check out how the release is working into the mags by looking down the frame after disassembling the gun & mags....
I also suffer from arthritis so I'm slingshotting my P9. My slide release is a bear so I'm not using it.
This month I received a new MAG release from Kahr because the original polymer mag...
Bawanna:
Drifting through prior posts I found this comment from Muggsy (RIP) concerning slide drag and slide lever effort in response to a members question similar to mine in this long thread:
...
Within the past week I contacted Kahr about a mag release problem. Received an emailed response within 24 hours and received the part, without charge, in the mail within four days of the email....
On the contrary, Bawanna. this is not the end but "I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship" (Casablanca, 1942) between a guy and his chosen gun maker - Kahr.
SUCCESS!!!
I emailed Kahr Customer Service on Monday and today, Thursday, in the mail was my new mag catch.
First, Super M, you were correct. My original in-the-gun catch is made of polymer...
Jeepers, Bawanna. Was hoping that nothing that I have was "Glockish"!
Glocks are excellent guns. I owned a G34 and it ran & ran but it was as boring as a brick . No personality; no warm & fuzzy...
Thanks for in input, Super M.
I agree about the holster -- modify it or don't use it at all. However, I'm glad that the light mag catch problem was highlighted for me. That's the purpose of range...
Yep!
No way, Armybrat! Post all the pictures of pretty girls that you have. I may be aging but I'm not dead yet. Guns are different.
Sent an email to Kahr Customer Service for a new mag catch & mag...
Cokeman: P9s all look alike. No need for a picture at this time.
When I get a new mag release spring from Kahr and possibly a mag release I'l attempt to take a close up picture of old vs. new and...
Bawanna:
Didn't mention that I'm kinda old and arthritic so hand strength is just one of the many gifts of youth that's fading. Slide release is very stiff both with and/or without a rd in the...
As reported, I lost my Kahr virginity recently to a slightly used P9.
Finally had a chance to devote some range time. Have one seven rd mag with a Lakeline follower plus Pearce pinky rest and one...
Excellent photos, Super M.
Is there a reliability difference between the old vs. new?
Oh man that looks good! Maybe it's just a "guy thing" but mechanical things that are 100% reliable are like art to me. Beats booze, drugs, Monday night football, etc. to give me a high.
Thanks...
Oh yeah, Armybrat. I call that a "barbecue gun" = something fancy worn OWB to a cook-out.
This Kahr fever is getting serious --- I'm now lusting after a K9 and I haven't put the first round down range thru my P9 yet!
Is there any hope for this ol' handgunner? So many guns; so little...
Roger that, lantern.
Prior owner spent the $20 and installed Talon grip. I would take an hour and post a picture but hey, P9s all look alike.
Finally bought my first Kahr today, a lightly used P9.
Came home and field stripped it --- dirty inside and dry. It's now clean and lubed and ready for the rain to stop to allow me to take it out...
Thanks for the welcome and the info.
Hello riply16.
Thanks for your reply.
I shoot at Bedford Rifle & Revolver Club (www.bedfordrrc.org) . Reliability is everything to me -- that's my interest in slingshot vs. slide release. I...
