Interesting technique. I get a similar effect using cans of compressed air intended for computers. The plastic guide tube fits perfectly in the striker opening.
I have yet to find a 9mm load that my CM9 will not handle. I've carried both Gold Dot and HST for self defense; zero glitches.
You're not alone. A pocket or waist-band holster provides many more functions than a convenient place to mount a clip. As noted, a correct holster protects the trigger but also covers other controls....
If your main criteria in pistol choice is weight due to back problems, I can comment with considerable experience. I solved my problem w/ a Kahr CM9. I have an IWB holster for regular pants/jeans and...
If the OP refers to the 2017 "TU3" packages, I bought & now carry a CM9 with gray Cerakote finish, 3-point sights, & slip on Pachmayr rubber grips. I replaced the original 6-round magazine w/ finger...
I disassemble, clean, & polish new mags. Center-fire are good for a few years after that unless dropped in the gritty sand that passes for soil here in the desert. Sand usually means disassembly....
Happy to read the original poster got his pistol & then got it fixed, at least for some .380 ammunition makers.
A further word about the extension on the 6 round magazine. Since purchasing two...
My CM9 came w/ Pachmayr slip on grips. After removing them & thoroughly cleaning the pistol & the grips, they've been working well; very comfortable.
I really like the rubber textured Talon grips...
I've had good results pocket carry with an Elite combo. Inexpensive, separate pieces for the CM9 & one spare magazine. I usually carry the pistol in my front left pocket; the mag pouch in my back...
Can't help you directly with the CW380 but I researched heavily before purchasing a new Tungsten CM9 (9093TU3). The slide, trigger, & slide release are cerakoted w/ a tungsten finish. It does not add...
OP: thanks for including your spread-sheet. I have a similar diagram 'though w/ some different entries.
I concur w/ several other members: I would choose the CM9.
I find my CM9 very easy to...
Welcome.
Suggest you check out the 2017 Tungsten CM9. Mine came w/ Pachmyr grips, finger extension on the mag, 3-dot sights, & cool cerakote finish for just a few $$ more. I followed Kahr's...
Visited the Clark County Shooting Complex today. Set up a bench rest at ~8m using calibrated pistol targets. Verified the bore sight data: this CM9 shoots true, dead on target. Passed the 200 round...
Acquired a 9mm bore sight laser. The small laser pointer is held in a metal case shaped like a 9mm cartridge. With the CM9 held level in a Pan-a-Vise & a target ~5m the 3-dot sights appear to be...
Howdy from Nevada.
Like you I recently purchased a new CM9 -- a small but loud addition to my arsenal. Found good maintenance information on this forum & Kahr's website. Although shooting's more...
Been following this thread w/ interest as I'm considering a Kahr .380 to back up my 9mm's. Curious if you live where ammo cannot be shipped.
If not, I checked TargetSports USA for bulk .380:...
Thanks for the tips & advice. I tried raising the sight picture to hit the target until past the point where the pistol was obscuring the target. Sure, I can get "hits" by raising the front sight...
After careful research & study I purchased a new Kahr CM9 w/ factory Tungsten cerakote on the exposed stainless steel parts. It comes w/ removable rubber grips, 3-dot sights & one 6-round magazine...
There are so many good replies on cleaning & ammunition, I have just one suggestion for the original poster to help track shots fired.
I buy several ruled composition books during...
Sounds good! I presume you have a Glock pistol that matches your Kel-Tec carbine, not to mention a .357 handgun matched to the Marlin. I'm a believer in handgun/carbine pairs that use identical ammo...
Thanks for the friendly reply. Yep! I'm a USAF veteran from a military-serving family -- father & uncles Army, mother Air Force, aunt Navy, son Army & National Guard. I was stationed in Nevada after...
After extensive research I chose a Kahr CM9 w/ Tungsten finish to replace my old trusty Beretta P21a pocket pistol. Compared with other manufacturers Kahr & Beretta seem to supply the best quality...
