It was was the M-16 of it's day. Loading cowboy action 45-70 loads for it. Issue sights are about 10" high at 100 yards. Factory sights zeroed at 250 yards with the original loads.

Agreed. How much of the tuning is really needed? I have had pretty good luck with Kahr, Browning, Sig, HK and Ruger right out of the box. I have seen a lot of shooter induced issues that could be...

I would leave it stock. Buy some decent ammo and have fun. The stiff recoil spring is there for a reason. With some range time you will start to appreciate the Pm9 even more.

I have seen more than one Kahr at the range with the recoil spring installed backwards. Same symptoms usually after the pistol has been field stipped and then fired. Scary looking and everyone thinks...

My P40 is stock and it shoots well for me, no jams, feeds JHP with no issues. Recoil is not excessive and it's an easy pistol to shoot and control. That stiff recoil spring is one reason why, the...

I just dry fired my P40 and my pistol fires when the trigger is vertical almost at the end of it's travel. Long yes but it's never been a problem when I shoot it. A friend of mine had a trigger job...

Streamlight TLR-6 on my P40, nice

I mounted a Streamlight TLR-6 on my P40 today. The sight/flashlight adds virtually no weight and bulk to the pistol and really lights up the target. The red laser is easy to see for me. Found a great...

    M1917 Sporter project

This M1917 30-06 was mine for less than $300 at LGS. Built in 1918, never issued so far as I can tell or it was used as a drill rifle. Needed some TLC. All of the bluing had been removed and the...

    Laser sight

Thanks for post. I have CT laser grips on a S&W 629, 44 mag hunting pistol and a SIG 226. Much faster to aim than a scope and easier than iron sights in my experience. I am looking for one these to...
