Before thinking anything is broken, you might want to detail strip the slide and see if it's just gunked up inside the striker channel. That'll also confirm if something is broken. Or use aerosol...
Bawanna, correct me if I'm wrong. Looks like there is a step of sorts on the jig that the frame rests against. Couldn't a fella put the jig on the outside of the frame, use a longer pin to locate...
I like the looks of the faux case hardening. The copper blotches looked like it had a disease. Don't think it would ever have sung to me. Sorry Bird.
Yup We have a bunch of them my wife inherited from my mom. Sewing machine.
Wife and I watched both seasons. The second season was better, although the first season develops the characters. I've read all the Reacher books, and also saw the two Reacher movies. Tom Cruise...
My CW40's extractor stands proud with a round chambered, flush without.
Only single digit numbers are available. 002 is only $10,000!
I carry a spare magazine in my left back pocket in an Elite Survival Systems magazine pouch. Used to carry it loose but it kept getting sideways in my pocket, which made it hard to get out. The mag...
I enjoy buying stuff a piece at a time for the ARs, then putting it together once enough stuff is collected. The 458 was different, I ordered everything within a week or two. Fell into a couple of...
It's a 24" stainless heavy barrel that I got from Midway. Can't remember off hand if it's their brand or something else. I just checked on their website and it doesn't look like they offer it...

Bawanna, just for an ideal of scale, something like 10 rounds of 458 SOCOM fit in a 30 round magazine. It's more than just a straight wall 223. Has a rebated rim, but needs a bigger bolt to handle...
I just finished assembling my latest scary gun last week. AR in 458 SOCOM. Haven't put it on the scale yet but I'm thinking it's close to 6ish pounds. It's the lightest AR that I have by a long...
I gotta admit. I strayed. I carried a SIG P365SAS for most of last year. Just felt like the right thing to do, although I've been a late comer to the 9MM party. Even with the 365 in a Vedder...
^^trying to re-create the old HK ad?
K75RT, I tore my meniscus about 6-7 years back when elk hunting. Had surgery to repair it (really just clean up the torn bits) and it was fine for a few years. Until arthritis set in. Cortisone...
Today. So that means it's morning and I am already smarter today than I was yesterday.
That truck with those cars would be worth several fortunes today!
Mostly agree. The only thing I don't like about it is the rail. Some guns look good with a rail, or at least it doesn't detract from the looks. On a 1911 a rail just looks wrong to me.
Nice! Looking forward to hearing your field report
Army, I feel your pain but not as severe. I was scheduled last fall to have a total knee replacement on the Monday after Thanksgiving. Was notified on Wednesday before Thanksgiving that insurance...
There are signs in a lot of our local gun stores by the bullets and reloading supplies saying "this is not loaded ammunition"
I've been trying to thin our squirrel population with a Crossman Diamondback .177 rifle with a 3-9 scope. I have it zeroed for headshots across the patio, but I only get to shoot when the missus...
I was in the market for one. I have a 10mm 1911 and wanted something lighter as a backup, an all-steel 1911 is a bit heavy to carry as a backup. Thought about a Glock 29, but I didn't particularly...
