does Kahr pay for shipping with warranty issues? I thought they used to, not sure what they do now. I recall that once upon a time, one could insist, and they would.

My 2009 PM9 runs great. It has NOT been flawless but I have not had a jam in over 500-800 rds. I can't remember. Got about 3,400 rds through it

i am still around...been over at 1911 forums dealing with a Kimber problem...bewn tied up with dat....my Kahr PM9 still runs like a champ......can't say that for my Kimber

old style PM9 here..from 2009...just hit 3,445 rds, about 30,000 rds short of jocko's total. He's probably got 50,000 rounds through it by now, huh?

The old Pm9's barrels and springs are shorter....

I feel your pain. My "new" Kimber is back at Yonkers to be "fixed." There is not one manufacturer that does not have folks sending them guns back due to issues.

I will also be messin' with a similar project---to replace out the inner spring. I have bought outer recoil springs from Wolf, and they also send the inner spring too.

My Kimber Ultra Raptor has had 17 malfunctions in 919 rds...an assortment of ftfs, slide locking back early with rds in mag, and a failure to chamber the 1st round

sounds like the longer new spring was sent in a bag labeled "old style." There is no other explanation.
