You might want to think about quick detach BI-pod set up. They work well when shooting from a bench, or pron position. I have one on my AR10. It's the berries in my op.

My PM45 handles the Federal Hydra shok 230gr. very well, which is what I use for carry. It also ran fine with Corbon PowR Ball 185gr. I had trouble with Winchester Ranger. Had feeding issues.

CJB is right, it should get better. In the mean time ,Glasses and keept your shirt collar closed. I got a caseing down my shirt while breaking mine in, lol not fun.

I used Rem.230 gr. rd.nose, WWB 230 gr. rd.nose, and Fed. 230 gr. rd. nose. All were FMJ. and worked well for me.
I've used Fed. Hydra shok 230gr.,Hornady185 gr.xtp and Powr-Ball +p 165gr. with no problems. I tried Winchester Ranger T's and had problems with ftf's & fte's.
