Bought the Crosman sight, works great, finally solved the problem I was having, thanks for the tip.
That is the continual problem. The Clearance on the BEIII slide behind the dovetail cut is too short. The Novak-style (1911) cut is .466 with a standard 65degree angle. The stock rear sight has a...
I'll try Dawson.
I found a Springfield adj sight on Brownell's, and with a little filing of the novak cut I got it to fit nicely. But the sight cant be lowered enough to correct high shots. Slide...
INcreasing bullet weight isn't practical. I'm shooting a 45, there's no reason a 230gr bullet would hit low at 10 yds. I agree the pistol shoots great but the sights are an issue. Still trying to...
I'm still trying to find a rear sight that will work. Two that I've found are too high, causing maybe 5" high at 15 yrds. I'm trying.
Disclaimer: I havent taken it to a gunsmith yet, as I'm somewhat enjoying the processs.
Factory rear sight shot about 4" low at 15 yds. Once I obtained the dimensions for the rear sight (posted...
Please let us know what they say. Sometimes new guns have alot of grease/gunk in the firing pin chambers (ive seen this on a new Glock), which could slow firing pin release. Try cleaning the firing...
Update on rear sight: the Springfield Armory Adjustable Rear Sight 1911 fit fine with a little filing. Took to range and shoots too high, about 5" high at 15 yds. Issue is although it's...
Yes not easy finding stuff for it... I'm LH and finally found a holster (can't remember brand).
I'm in process of finding a different rear sight, see other thread for rear sight measurements. I...
Any luck with the sights?
Agreed
What was the result?
I successfully added the Springfield rear sight, took a relatively easy amount of filing with a triangle file. Sighting in tomrrow at range, will advise. And when I hit 30 posts I'll post pics!
Good luck!
And yes to your other point, I find this trigger to be as smooth as it gets, but I have bigger hands so I wonder if it could be tricky in DA for small hand.
MR sounded likethey only had what came on the pistol, which is why I am looking aftermarket for an adj rear.
Sent. You can post them or maybe even better make it a sticky. All yours.
Information provided by Magnum Research. They said this was all they have from BUL.
From looks of it, a 1911 type rear sight Novak style should fit as long as it's a 65deg angle, it'll just need...
Mine shot low and right as well. Corrected the windage, and just found a rear sight that should correct the elevation issue. Great pistol. Mine is in .45. When I get the sight mounted...
My new BDE 45 is shooting 3" low at 15 yds. Too low to fight thru for target shooting. Any idea on a new front sight that would fit?
Fell in love with a Baby DE this week and brought it home. Had no idea they made these steel pistols.
While cleaning everything, I of course drop the trigger safety and spring....and the spring...
