I tool a birch closet rod dowel about 2" long and glued and screwed it to a 5x5 piece of plywood. Just the ticket for pressing out the pin as I line up the marks.

Dad was in the medical corps in WWII. They did the same thing with urine tests for sugar.
It works like a reflex sight.
That's what I use for my single stack Ruger 40 and my Kahr 9. I bought the 1911 aligner too - it makes a big difference when loading single stack mags.

Travel in bear country? Hand load 45 colt? If so, trade. Otherwise keep the fine 686 38/357. Just my opinion though.

Last week's Blacklist featured a Kahr, probably a CW. Don't worry, it didn't kill anyone.
I bought my ct9 last fall, followed the detailed cleaning instructions, and took it to the range. So far about 350 rounds fmj and hp and not a single issue.

I use this too. Made for a double stack but works with a single stack. There is a "reducer" that clips on the unit to better handle single stack.
