I've been holding off and waiting until I found a sale. My CW9 and K9 are great guns, but, I wanted something a bit bigger for cold weather.
Wife will get my CW9 and the pearce grip adapter mags...
Yeah, I was wondering about the rails. I've had concerns with other guns but similarly not noticed any issues after initial "break-in".
Still, it is a bit concerning to see the shavings fall out...
Got my CDNN purchase from the FFL and started to strip it down and compare it to my NYPD K9.
Wow... No wonder these go for $299. Very rough action in the slide and the slide to frame fit was...
Ordered on Sunday, was at the dealer today.
Total cost including FFL fee was under $330...
Full of oil/cosmoline/crud and took several soakings in Ed's Red to get the gunk out. I tore down the...
Prices on the CW pistols went back up... $329

Honestly, I've looked at what goes for sale on Gunbroker and other auction sites. A pre-lock 66 is not selling for more than a nice condition 686.
$600 for the 66 vs $700 for the 686
But alot...
Would not be the first time... do you think these holsters make my butt look fat?
I carry a 7rd spare mag now and want to add to it my Fenix E11 for EDC.
In the past, I have carried my pare 7rd mag inside an old phone holster. ;)
Anyone have a recommendation of a LEATHER...
K9 from NYPD trade in a while back.
Just ordered a CW9. Might flip for a CM9 some day.
I hit that deal like a cheap drunken Kardashian.
$15 FFL awaits. Less than $330 for a new and delivered CW9 in a week or so.
Need to get a couple extra mags as well.
Going to have the slide...
At the risk of getting banned...
*******. 66 was a bad trade. Should have held out for a 686.
But to each their own. ;)
Zero issues with Critical Defense ammo in my K9 as well as Winchester Ranger type bullets.
I tend to carry my K9 in a Don Hume iwb holster as its light and tight.
Fantastic and accurate...
Well, I run my K9 with a very light coating of CLP on all the internal surfaces.
The trigger pull on mine is about where I would expect it. A good fluff-n-buff on some of the critical surfaces...
It is possible to disassemble the slide and polish up the parts w/o too much trouble and that will help. It helped on my NYPD trade in, anyhow.
I'd like to take apart the frame and go after a few...
In regards to the age of the NYPD K9s, mine is a 2002 model (after looking up the serial number online) and the frame says "stainless".
I am assuming the slide is something coated/plated... or is...
Yup, cleaning my NYPD K9 was a bit of a chore, but, it came out looking pretty good.
I put in a new recoil and firing pin spring along with polishing the feed ramp and working over the bore a bit...
Excellent workmanship and fits perfectly.
Wore it around the house first to see how it would sit behind my belt line and against my frame.
For some reason, the way my belts fit me and the type...
To the original question, Sinterfire components are what I have loaded successfully with Win brass & PMC lead free primers. (when I could find them) Nowadays I just use normal primers and nobody is...
I am thinking about an IWB for my K9 and can't decide between a Don Hume or another leather holster.
Any comments about the DH?
My Wolff spring order was just shipped and should be here this week.
My only concern with the 5# striker spring is that Wolff does not recommend it. I'd like to give the gun polish job on the rest...
So, my K9 came in Saturday but I didn't couldn't get to the range in time for some trigger time with it.
It was filthy... lots of holster dust and I needed a (near) complete break down to get it...
For 9mm/40sw/45acp
- tumble with crushed walnut hull (Lyman)
- deprime/resize with a spare Lee caliber die
- tumble with corncob or "lizard litter" and some flitz
- inspect flash holes and sort...
The Speer GDHP and Hornady FTX 9mm certainly appear to have penetrated deeper and expanded slightly better than the comparable 380 from the same manufacturer.
I would then argue, is there a...

You are pretty much correct. The hi shok is their "basic" JHP with a wide point.
The el-cheapo Winchester JHP (also their subsonic and Super-X) line of ammo is based on the older "OSM"...
