    In my experience...
    Mild target loads normally don't need trim.
    HOWEVER
    Hot loads and first fired brass may need trimming. .. I always check case length after cleaning and before loading.

    Have both.... Although the Dimensions are close... The 40 is nicer in pocket carry (preference) BUT carry the 45 daily... Just like the old 45ACP.. :-)
