Last night I thought I'd give a better look to the fit of the slide to the forward guide rails when the slide is all the way back. To make it easier I removed the recoil spring and put the slide back...
Maybe that's what happended to mine to. Just for practice a few times I've gone though 3 mags as fast as I can. Keeping the paper hanging back at a steady 45 degree angle from the muzzle blast. The...
Crap! I couldnt help it. I looked.
Mine looks just like yours, AlbinLee. I can't believe I actually looked!
I'll never feel safe carrying this gun again!
:)
No way I'm looking at mine. If it's like that I don't want to know. :)
I'm at about 1200 rounds now without a single malfunction. I trust it 100% with my life and that's good enough for me.
Cleaning my room. 25 cents a week. :(
I'm not real sure what you're looking at but if it helps here's some pix of mine. It's had about 1200 rounds throught it.

That's interesting. I've never seen this before but I bought a PPK a couple weeks ago and there was a spent case in the box. I was wondering about that. :)
There's no way the CW9 I got just before Christmas had been fired that much. Not only was it spotless but it was way too oily. At a casual glance it didn't look to have had a round through it.
I really appreciate all the intelligent responses to my question. It's so nice to NOT hear "Dude, such and such rocks and if you don't use it you suck!". :)
I've been wanting to try some 147s for that very reason.
Yea, I was bit surprised when I ran the Gold Dot 124 SB +Ps through it. It kicked harder than my 1911 shooting 230 ball and I'd have to regrip after every couple of rounds. I think I'll stick to the...
Truth is I'm old and not very strong. I'm finding the +P loads I've tried a real handfull to shoot accurately and quickly in the little CW9. Is the extra 100 fps really worth all the extra recoil?...
Like you, my other gun is an old Colt 1911. I got my CW9 to get my CHL and carry. The CW is better than I ever imagined it would be. Other than the reasons you mentioned I couldn't imagine getting...
I was at the indoor range yesterday And the guy in the stall next to me had Da Beam. It dove me crazy watching his dot bouncing all over the place. Made me nervous as hell just watching. :D
Does...
The problem with "lubing" the tube (:D, sorry I digress) is it makes it very hard to get a hold of to pull it on. I tried to roll it up like a (:D never mind) and roll it on but that was a total...
Thank you. I had fun doing that. I found my old Pachmayr grips in the top of the closet while digging around and had to include those. The price tag was still on the box. $10.50! Boy, those were the...
Here's a glamor shot of my 1976 Series 70.

Yes. :)
That's good to know because I've been wondering about the little bugger too.
Does the little nick look like this?

I just had to show off how well the little magazine tweaks I learned here worked. It was ok having to load the first round using the slide release and pulling the empty mags from the the gun, but...
You could probably say I'm pretty darn average. I suck! :D
But I'm learning. Shooting my CW9 with two hands at 7 yards Ill hold about a 6 inch circle for about 90% of my shots with the rest being...

I know, a little bold for a noobie, but I couldn't resist. :)
