I wouldn't worry about it. My K40 Covert has some slide play at the front and it doesn't affect practical accuracy or function. As a matter of fact, it's one of the more accurate pistols I've owned....
Used guns I've bought.

Smith Model 10
Beretta 92
Springfield Loaded 1911
Benelli M1s90 tactical
The only one that had problems? The 1911. No so much as a hiccup out of the...
All valid points. Yes, I was glad to be a .40 shooter during the ammo shortage. 9mm was up to $50/for UMC or WWB. I was able to get .40 for less than half of that.
To me, .40 recoil isn't bad,...
Oh, and although it may well turn into one, this isn't meant to be a caliber debate.
The title says it all. I'm sure we've all read about the FBI making the switch and how the increased recoil and muzzle blast of the .40 is no longer worth it with the increase in bullet technology....
Yes, but with some ingenuity I think it could be slightly smaller than a 26 in every dimension.
I'm thinking more along the lines of p or pm in size, but slightly wider for a 9 or 10 round capacity.
Yeah, I agree. I'm not sure what they were thinking with the competition pistol. Colors, I can understand because I know a handful of ladies who have become armed because their pistol was "cute and...
I agree. It would be an awesome weapon. In a steel K or T, the venerable. 45 acp, with its low pressure, would be a cream puff. Maybe we should all flood Kahr's customer service inbox with an email...
Good point. The DE will always sell not because of usefulness, quality or practicality but because it is quite literally the iconic movie star of guns. Kahrs have been in the movies, but the DE is...
Why? I don't understand why they would do that. It doesn't look like it does any particular thing very well. It looks like a tricked out single stack that wishes it could be a race gun.
Kahrs are...
12317 Mags for my K40 Covert. One polished, one unpolished for comparison. Increasingly finer grades of sandpaper that I found in the auto body section at AutoZone. I brought it out to 3000 grit. I...
Congrats. I love my K40 Covert although I've pondered selling it and getting a K9 or 40 with a full length grip. Regardless, it's been an accurate and dependable weapon.
Kahr, like most companies in any given industry, have found a way to boost revenue and margins by making a decent quality yet less expensive product than their flagship steel pistols.
In the name...
Kahr is quick about that. When I got my K40 Covert I emailed the at 9pm to ask when it was made. I had a response at 7am the next morning. July of '98.
FWIW I generally like the Taurus 85 snubbie in .38 spl than similar Smith and Wesson j frames. The trigger seems lighter and I feel like the full under lug on the Taurus helps a bit in the recoil...
Marcinstl.
My first handgun was a Beretta 92 compact. It had a slightly shorter grip and a slightly shorter grip. It was anything but compact. It felt like I was shooting the full size version. I...
Damn fine revolver.
A k or t .45 would be amazeballs. I doubt they would sell many of them because they would probably cost close to 1k
Congrats on the gun. I've always wanted an 1895G. That gun and the cartridge just ooze coolness.
I think you'd like it. A lot.
Thanks everyone. Yes they do recoil more by design. I'm sure that's the reason that most of the field models I see have the Comfort Tech stock as they're likely to be shot at a higher volume. I think...
The title says it all. I picked it up yesterday, used for $540 with some wear but in really good condition. I took it out today and put some low brass bird loads through it, all of which cycled...
