Lead bullet name?
I use PPU lead-nose HPs 180gr, inside my CT45.
What happens when you shoot FMJs?

All these rounds fired with FMJs? If not, then that's what should be used first in your new Kahr.
I now love mine even more, now that I've reduced recoil after switching ammo to PPU 45ACP 185gr SJHPs.
9s and 45s are more manageable to use. Sales are so slow with 40-cals nowadays. That's why 40s have the best prices lately.
I'm always curious on what specific ammo you're currently using - without any malfunctions?
Put the pin back-in and start over. Use some cleaner spray (with straw) and spray liberally before disassembly. A one-time use CLP, if it's possible you have any. If no cleaner or CLP with straw, use...
ALWAYS change ammo first. That includes both FMJs and HP rounds. Ammo choice is usually the culprit.
Plus, stick with brass casings for best results.

I might add that trying the 147gr standard pressure helped me in muzzle control, over-that of the 115/124gr varieties. I found that the slightly slower moving bullet coming out of the...
If it's toxic and it's chemicals smell-up the house - chasing the wife and kids out the front door, it goes in the garbage. That's what I did with Hoppes #9.
If you are traditional and insist on...
Neither one is considered a front pocket pistol. So the only difference is in how it presents itself in belt-carry.
The CW9 offers you a slightly longer grip and slightly longer barrel. Better grip...
Very good price.
Expect-not to see you here anymore. After-all, no trust in the gun anymore should keep you from clicking-on this Kahr site again.
Take care and have a Merry Christmas / Happy New Year.

Tell us your specific ammo of use so far, with the CT45? You should be avoiding HPs until it's broken-in.
The FMJ I chose in my almost new CT45 is the Remington UMC. I've probably shot...
I've read your similar posts on the Beretta messageboard. You membered with a Virginia-something screen name there.
I do not own a Beretta yet. Was considering the little 32 Tomcat a while back....
Congrats on your purchase and your successful first range visit.
My HP-carry ammo in the much bigger Kahr 45 is Hornady Critical Defense. It feeds excellent, so that's one for consideration on carry...
So you aren't naming any other nickel casings you've tried in your Kahr?
BTW.... I have "other" issues with Lehigh / Underwood, dating back to muzzleloader bullets.
Ed M
Please name a couple other ammo options (cheaper ones) that use the nickle plated case? Your Underwood is mucho dinero per round
Thanks!
Easy fix and still able to use the Hornady Critical Defense is to load the first round of the magazine with FMJ - then load the remaining rounds ontop of the FMJ with Critical Defense.
2nd option...
That's where I bought my CT45 three weeks ago.
Wowser!
My 9mm Taurus PT111 G2 is in Taurus-Miami being repaired for a useless trigger. I threatened to take a sledge-hammer to that gun, should they send it back to me with that feel-less trigger....
It took me several minutes to get a bicycle tube fitted on my long CT45 grip, for fear of it ripping.
I never knew beforehand to turn it inside-out first. So the next time I install one, I'll see...
No Talons available for my CT45.
The CT is a little bigger overall than the G42..... right? The CT's long grip should help tame what little recoil that .380 has.
Do you still have the 42? I have one and it's my favorite...
